Holy fuck check out these screens of SW BF modded with that new ICEnhancer mod, the stills look like they were taken straight from the films.

So I was reading on a PCGamer article of modding PC games and how it improves your gaming when I came across a discussion in the comments about Fallout 4 selling more on PS4 and then someone linked this:

I feel what Todd says is a true thing, since PC as a platform doesn't have a gen, doesn't have a set lifespan and a finite limit on what it can do as a platform let alone having finite number of users to collect, there are always new gamers joining PC gaming every single day, week, month and year and it;s been like this since the start of Video gaming. The other thing to note is that while sources suggest Fallout 4 sold "most on PS4" they would be partly right but not absolutely since Steam doesn't release the full sales data and then of course we have multiple physical and digital vendors that are always uncacounted for. The sales on both platforms perform differently as well since with consoles you see that clear surge in sales that go on for a short period of time and then begin to taper off to a close, on PC sales can start off either big or small and grow over time but still continue to go on and on for years on end, Skyrim for example will have sold the most on PC after all these years while sales on consoles would have declined to a close at least 2 years ago, especially with a new gen of consoles for users to focus on.

That and like he says, they are best played on PC, not from a fanboy perspective but as one who made the game on the very platform that makes all video games and also has an insane amount of options and modding capabilities.

Link to the article in question: http://www.pcgamer.com/an-inside-look-at-how-modding-makes-pc-games-better/

I kinda want to make a thread on modding, I think Zero or someone else would do a better job than me though, modding games I believe is always an interesting topic though.

There's no pic or link o.O

That's my fault because for me I don't get the rich text option to link my vids on the site so I post some text first and then edit the article to paste the vid and add more text in. I threw the vid and link to the article though =P

Sweet, looks like we'll be able to build some of our own bases in the future on Planetside 2: http://www.pcgamer.com/planetside-2-is-getting-a-base-building-system/

I'm betting they will somehow cost real money though, I could be totally wrong and want to be on that.

Watching a video tour of Bethesda studios from 2011 and noticed one scene in particular:

lol more people on PC playing ARK than SW BF, it's no surprise how fun ARK is and what you can do in it compared to the super tight limits you get with a MP only shooter.

http://www.pcgamesn.com/star-wars-battlefront/more-people-are-playing-ark-survival-evolved-than-star-wars-battlefront-on-pc

To also take into account that ARK has mod support and will sport VR, has a lower price point and doesn't cost £80+ to enjoy what the game has to offer completely and get updated with plenty of new content for free every few days, weeks and months.

Yeah - speaking of which - they only have the special winter cards during the winter sale right?

I wonder what kind of sales we'll see in the next few days....

What do you mean with those "winter cards"? You mean the cards of the sale that grant you a badge if you get them all?

Please excuse my bad English.

Yesh :3

I love badges lol

Ok. But I doubt we'll get those this Winter sales.

Part of the cards came from voting the flash sales or, as happened in the last ones, taking part of that minigame to unlock the flash sales. And given that there won't be flash nor daily sales, only those that buy a lot of games will be able to get the cards and the badge.

By the way, a couple of anticipated news:

AMD MOVES PRE-GCN GPUS TO LEGACY

http://www.anandtech.com/show/9815/amd-moves-pre-gcn-gpus-to-legacy

Alongside today’s release of the new Radeon Software Crimson Edition driver set, AMD has published a new page on their driver site announcing that video cards based on the company’s pre-Graphics Core Next architectures have been moved to legacy status. This means that GPUs based on the company’s VLIW5 and VLIW4 architectures – the Evergreen and Northern Islands families – have been retired and will no longer be supported. All of AMD’s remaining supported GPUs are now based on various iterations of the Graphics Core Next architecture.

>> Well, that sad but understandable, the 5 and 6000 cards have more than 5 years. I haven't updated my drivers in a very long time, I always keep leaving it "for tomorrow", and now this happens. At least the guys at wccftech mention, and link the latest stable drivers and the last Beta drivers for them.

Which ones should I download? The old but stable ones or the new Crimson ones but in Beta form? :-/

Now, don't laugh!

MINECRAFT STORY MODE EPISODE THREE LAUNCHES WITH TRAILER

http://www.pcgamer.com/minecraft-story-mode-episode-three-launches-with-trailer/

Episode three of Telltale's Minecraft Story Mode adventure series is out, and seems to be taking a creepy turn. A wither storm is eating the world and the Endermen are massing. Where normally you might dig a three block hole and hide until the sun comes up, the Telltale game compels you to stand up and save the world, probably by fighting a big dragon in hand-to-hand combat. That always ends well.

A story posted on Kotaku UK today about 17-year-old David Acott, an endearingly enthusiastic Dying Light fan who died of cancer earlier this year, is heartbreaking by any measure. But it's also uplifting, and even important, for what it says about the power of videogames to help people heal.
