NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti CUDA Benchmark Leaks Out, Close To 15% Faster Than 3060 Ti

https://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4060-ti-cuda-benchmark-leaks-out-close-to-15-faster-than-3060-ti/

In other words, a 3070

Sometimes makes me wonder what the point of Nvidia and AMD releasing these lower end/mid range GPU's are. Just price cut the 3070 to $350-380 and get rid of those old cards instead. Skip the 8GB model and release the 16GB for a slight premium.

Well to be fair, Lovelace does have additional benefits like a lot lower power consumption and dlss 3 but yea. It feels like they are gonna price the 8GB version the same as the 3060 Ti for 3070 level performance and then if the 16GB of vram rumour is true, probably will release it for $500. Most of these cards at their MSRP just feels awful to buy honestly but luckily, they are getting discounted a few weeks after and getting games bundled in. Thankfully the Ai craze isn't as wild as the crypto craze lol.

It wasn't easy to get the new display home in my small car... had a big blind spot on the right driving home, but fortunately no accident.

Great setup btw

This is the great, unknown hazard of PC gaming; driving your shit home from the vendor or post office. I managed to fit my display and parts in my car, but I had to open one of the packages to make it all fit (specifically, the box for the chassis). I drive a Peugeot 208, not exactly a freighter. Is that an MX-5 you're driving? Not many Mazda's can be purchase in convertible form.

Congrats on all the stuff, we're living our best life right now! Save for a few fire scares for some of us... And that's a very good size for a display, I grew accustomed to my 43" after only a couple of days, it's perfect for the distance and intended use. The only issue I really have with it is that some 1080 content doesn't look very good on it.

Yeah, good eye. It's a Mi...ata / MX-5 NB. Almost 20 years old, but still a joy to drive, especially May to September.

And here is my new PC case. The Fractal Meshify C was a bit too small for the bigger GPU plus the other stuff, so I upgraded to Meshify S2:

Slightly annoying: my keyboard is now reflecting in the display

My temporary(?) solution for my viewing angle: the HDMI-cover of the display, a WiiU-stand and a phone cover (usb-cable through the camera hole)

I have the same issue with the keyboard reflecting off of the screen, but grew used to it. It's only ever a problem in dark scenes. You're gonna love that setup for sure, I have the exact same GPU. It's a damn beast, with my setup, I've never seen it go above 62 degrees either, so it runs really cool!

Yeah it does feel like we're going to see GPU prices fall anyways. Between the low sales and market reception from the RTX 4000 and RX 7000 series cards. And gamers disastifaction with general pricing. There has been quick price drops within months and even weeks going by recent releases. Could see the 4060Ti 8GB dropping the $350 during the holidays. And the 16GB well below $450 or under.

Also the 16GB model... should it be around 3070 levels of performance will be enough for most people. Especially for 1080P and even at 1440P. Its just the price points (again) is kinda bad and dissapointing considering the hardware offered and potential. But hey, its still improvement somewhat, much like the 4070 is, when compared to the rest of the stack.

And true, the new cards are fairly power efficient and have the new feature sets. Just wished prices were a little more reasonable at the base level and the rest of the stack readjusted. Will be interesting to see if both AMD and Nvidia play their cards for the rest of the year. Have a feeling we're going to see big cuts for the RTX series below the 4090.

Nvidia lucked out again by tech trends and Ai. They are making bank off selling to big tech companies so maybe less incentive to offer good value consumer cards. But hey at least its not GPU apocalypse where everyone including peoples grans wanted a GPU and miners and scalpers were sweeping up cards left and right. And you can actually buy a graphics card now at reasonable prices if you look around.

When I unboxed my new display yesterday I was wondering about a pair of (super uncomfortable looking) in-ear-headphones in the box.

Today I found out, that these are infrared-blasters, so I'm glad that I didn't stick them into my ears.

RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti announced. Releasing May 24, $299 (4060)
