I hope we see some more android ports from SE which includes Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger and the DQ games.

FFV was the most recent android release so there's a chance!

^Kind of meh, to be honest.

I would have preferred one of the true DQ games, to be honest. But if it's a sign that the next DQ games will also launch on PC...

Yeam same, I would have gone for a more up to date CT though.

Also I dunno if I should order that AOC monitor you linked me just yet, I mean I did get my refund back from SCAN (I don't think they refunded the insurance or possibly the P&P though) and was thinking of going for that AOC but then I was thinking back to that news you psoted a week ago on Nvidia GPU's being used at max with 144Hz monitors.

I just want a GSYNC monitor to keep my frames consistent though since VSYNC is just god awful to use and not many games support full screen border window mode and of course not using VSYNC means screen tearing =P.

I'm also a bit iffy about my i5-4670k being able to fully take on Fallout 4 on ultra settings even though I have the 980 and 8 gigs ram needed. Fallout seems to be one of those games that are more CPU based, Planetside 2 being another.

You're free to buy whatever you want. I just found the monitor you had ordered on stock somewhere else.

But not buying the monitor because of that bug is going too far, imho. First of all, Nvidia is working in a fix, and then there's the fact that you can still use the monitor at 120Hz without having the power draw problem. Yes, 144Hz sounds fancier, but will you notice the difference between 120 and 144HZ?

And in regards to Fallout 4 and your CPU, pcgameshardware.de (in german) did look into that, and in a CPU bound scenario found that the game scales well and will use all 4 cores. So it's more likely that you'll find yourself being GPU limited than CPU limited.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

The final day of the GOG Fall sale is upon us. All reduced bundles are back, and the discout up to 90% in some cases

I'm not going to put off buying the monitor entirely, I just hope Nvidia sort out the issue in the end though.

I also had a feeling that would be the case for fallout, I just found it odd that the 4670k wasn't used in the majority of benches.

Finished watching this a while ago since getting back from work. Nice look on PC gaming hardware through the years.

Oh man I'm going to love these last 3 Starbound updates before 1.0 comes around, can't believe it;s nearly been 2 years already.

I still need to work a few quests towards getting a suit implant that allows me to withstand extreme heat temperatures so I can start mining Rubium, I've already got the rad and cold implants already as well as O2 so I can mine the fuel I need for jumping from system to system.

Not too long ago SF IV was free during a weekend. I remember because I tried it... and boy, I sucked at it! I played a lot of SF 2 on the SNES, and the game has changed a bit.

Also, today's controllers aren't as well suited for fighting games as the SNES and the 6 buttons MegaDrive/Genesis controller.

Btw, Ars Technica has compared SteamOS vs Windows 10 with a couple of games: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/11/ars-benchmarks-show-significant-performance-hit-for-steamos-gaming/

Not even Valve's own games perform better in SteamOS.

And they tested with a Nvidia card... the AMD-Linux drivers are much worse: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=steamos-22-gpus&num=7

^Yeah, that's the first thing I looked for when I read the article's title. At least the article is "fair".

Linux drivers from AMD have always sucked. We'll see if with the new Radeon Technologies Group they can improve their drivers not only for DX 11 and 12, but also for Linux.

Edit: This is my 8888th post. Not bad

I dunno why some mods "asked" for some PC users to create some "positive" thread when every time one is created there is always going to be debbie downer posts like this: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=7616743

Pointless ones too: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=7616669

The first link I want to argue strongly against but it;s pointless because the user is well and truly in the heavy mindset of just coming in to downplay whatever good PC gamers or platform can have, even then after you a argue, someone else will hop to their aid and then we get ye old consoles vs PC threads, he's more or less starting it anyway by running with made up negatives of PC gaming and then citing consoles into the latter example without any downsides.

I dunno, I've just had a tiring day at work, come home to see an actual positive thread and then then it's dashed on the rocks by the same few users who just don't like PC gaming and want to see it lowered or ignored and it;s getting beyond silly to see it happening here on and off.
