My Macbook decided to shit itself today...

First time I buy a macbook, it dies within 5 months. Idk how it's even possible with the glass being perfectly fine. Just the display panel decided to commit seppuku... Never had a laptop crack its screen until now...

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

It doesn't seem possible.

I hope the warranty takes care of it.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I finished playing Tekken 7 on Steam.

15 hours to beat the story mode and to play all 50+ characters in Arcade mode.

I messed around the customization mode and tried out Treasure battle mode.

Also tried out Tekken Bowl...its okay lol

Overall, enjoyed the game.

Next PC game I will play will be Final Fantasy VI (Remaster) and Borderlands GOTY Enhanced.

NVIDIA Ends Production & Supply of Steam’s 2nd Best Gaming GPU, The GeForce RTX 2060

https://wccftech.com/nvidia-ends-production-supply-of-steam-2nd-best-gaming-gpu-the-geforce-rtx-2060/

2060 never reached the heights of the 1060/3060 but it was a good GPU. If 4060 is priced uplift like how Lovelace has been so far, I suspect 3060 will only continue to grow.

The way Nvidia is going the RTX 4060 be at best a 4050, I don't think they'd stoop as low as to roll out a 4030 with 4060 badge. Well at least I hope not, Jensen isn't in that much of a need for a new leather jacket. Is he?

I wouldn't at all be surprised if this entire gen is going to be nvidia switching around GPU labels with lesser GPU's and trying to pass them off as if they were what was stated on their respective tins.

If what is true about the recent benches of the 4080, then anything below is certainly going to be worse off in perf/RT, and I feel like at that point, nvidia is going to heavily rely on DLSS 3.0 to "improve" those perf marks, and tbh, I wouldn't count DLSS 3.0 results as true perf, since it's acting more like a crux now more than ever.

Don't get me wrong, I like that we have DLSS/FSR, but I really don't think we should be relying on these for the rest of time, we should be advancing tech to a point where we don't need to emulate what consoles were doing 2 gens ago.

So Remedy just posted that 505 Games is gonna help them create Control 2, while 505 handles the console side of pubbing, and Remedy handles the PC side.

I went over their letter a few times and though it does state "heading to PC", it never stated what clients it will be pubbed onto, which leaves me highly sceptical, because in that same letter, Remedy never stated "oh and we broke off our pubbing deal with Epic Games".

So what is it gonna be, two pubbing deals with Epic and 505 games, or just the 505 deal for consoles and them pubbing it on all the stores on PC?, they aren't being completely clear on this, just like the time they were not clear on users having to buy the game twice to get all the content for Control 1.

The Sims 5 Pre-Alpha screenshots have been leaked online
https://www.dsogaming.com/screenshot-news/the-sims-5-pre-alpha-screenshots-have-been-leaked-online/
Last month, a pre-alpha build for The Sims 5 was leaked online. And today, the first screenshots from it have appeared online. However, these are off-camera screenshots, so don’t expect much from them.
From what we know, the new The Sims game will stay true to what The Sims has always been while pushing to evolve how those Sims think and behave.
>> For me, the best pic is the last one. It captures the spirit of EA pretty well.

Two Point Campus will begin testing mod support 'very soon'
https://www.pcgamer.com/two-point-campus-will-begin-testing-mod-support-very-soon/
Two Point Campus, the academically-focused sequel to the medical management sim Two Point Hospital, is getting mod support. A release date hasn't been set but developer Two Point Studios said that it hopes to begin beta testing mod support on Steam "very soon."

Destiny 2's latest mystery isn't an ARG after all (Updated)
https://www.pcgamer.com/bungie-has-given-destiny-2s-buggiest-gun-an-amazing-easter-egg/
In the long and inglorious history of bugged PC gear, I'm not sure there has ever been a weapon so notoriously prone to fuckery as Destiny 2's Telesto.
Update 1: Since Telesto first bugged out yesterday, it's become increasingly clear that rather than just being a cute easter egg added by developers with some downtime, this is actually the start of another of Destiny 2's ARG puzzles.
Update 2: Okay, so here's where we are now. Community manager DMG, with tongue firmly in cheek, says the gun is fixed.
Update 3: Much as I hate to be the bearer of underwhelming news, today's This Week at Bungie blog post pours a sizable glass of cold water over the idea that Telesto's current 'bugginess' is part of any sort of puzzle for the community to solve.
Update 4: Aaaaaaand we're done. Bungie just tweeted out a code for the Schrödinger's Gun emblem.
>> After three days posting about this, I hope they've finally fixed it.

The solo developer behind this wave shooter is trying to resurrect that old time CoD Zombies magic
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-solo-developer-behind-this-wave-shooter-is-trying-to-resurrect-that-old-time-cod-zombies-magic/
When solo developer Ashley Ellis told me that he wanted Hellbreach: Vegas to be a throwback, a celebration of the arcade simplicity of Call of Duty's beloved zombies mode, that's when it really clicked for me. Hellbreach is all about the simple pleasure of looking down iron sights at a zombie-adjacent demon-type dude and deleting it. If you find yourself doing so on a Discord call with three friends from high school, all the better.

This Stardew Valley-inspired game with 'dark fairytale creatures' leaves early access in December
https://www.pcgamer.com/this-stardew-valley-inspired-game-with-dark-fairytale-creatures-leaves-early-access-in-december/
We liked Kynseed well enough to say it "could be the next Stardew Valley" in a 2021 preview. With a few big differences, of course, including vengeful gods to worship and fearsome monsters to battle. It's been around since 2017, when it enjoyed a successful Kickstarter campaign and trip through the Greenlight process (remember that?) before debuting in early access in 2018. Now, five years later, we've got a full release date and a new trailer showcasing farming, fishing, fungus, and fantasy fighting.

Enjoy Call of Duty: Warzone's best map now before Activision deletes it
https://www.pcgamer.com/enjoy-call-of-duty-warzones-best-map-now-before-activision-deletes-it/
Call of Duty: Warzone is getting a sequel next week, and the ol' battle royale dinosaur isn't taking it too well. Activision announced in a blog post yesterday that, once Warzone 2.0 is out, the original game is going through some big changes.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide trailer reveals the fate of the squad from the very first teaser
https://www.pcgamer.com/warhammer-40000-darktide-trailer-reveals-the-fate-of-the-recon-squad-from-the-very-first-teaser/
The first teaser for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, released more than two years ago, centered on a four-person recon squad investigating sub-level six of Atoma Prime's Tertium Hive. The video ended with the team looking to be in a spot of trouble—and now we finally know what happened to them.

Players get their wish: Classes are coming back to Battlefield soon
https://www.pcgamer.com/battlefield-2042-class-system-rework/
Every new Battlefield game messes with classes in some way—Battlefield 3's heresy was getting rid of medics and giving defibrillators to the Assault class—but Battlefield 2042 went too far for some fans when it ditched classes in favor of unique specialist characters. Perhaps Battlefield fans are principled anti-individualists, or maybe they just like things how they were—either way, DICE has conceded. Classes are on the way back.

Baldur's Gate 3 is getting 'new features' and a release date announcement in December
https://www.pcgamer.com/baldurs-gate-3-is-getting-new-features-and-a-release-date-announcement-in-december/
Since Baldur's Gate 3 launched in early access back in 2020, Act 1—the only one available until the full launch—has been fattened up with giant badgers, musical instruments and D&D's objectively best race, but at this point you probably just want to know when the heck it's coming out. Good news: more information on the 2023 release date will be coming in December.

Remedy confirms that Codename Heron is Control 2
https://www.pcgamer.com/remedy-confirms-that-codename-heron-is-control-2/
Surprising absolutely nobody, Remedy has confirmed that the "bigger budget Control game" formerly known as Codename Heron is indeed Control 2. The developer has signed a co-development and co-publishing agreement with 505 Games, sharing the news alongside a piece of concept art.

And that's it. Until next time, I wish you a happy and gaming weekend.

I mean... I bought a new Notebook a couple months ago with an Intel CPU for the first time since Ryzen 2700u came out in 2018?

And mostly because it had the best price/performance ratio..

My option was the 11400H+RTX 3060 or Ryzen 5 5500u+GTX 1650 for about the same price. (RTX 3060 had a chunky discount applied.)

It honestly was a no brainer... Upgraded the SSD to a 2Tb 980Pro and dropped in 64GB of Ram, should last me a couple years.

The issue I am finding with AMD notebooks right now is not so much the CPU side of the equation... It's what GPU it is bundled with and total price, Intel Notebooks tend to get more significant price cuts over this way and more often.

Gave my old Ryzen 2700U notebook away, still got my 4700u notebook hanging around somewhere.

Yea pretty much. A lot of the dell laptops I was looking at had Ryzen 6000 CPUs $300-$400 more than Alder Lake with the same GPU as well.
