Those requirements look like shit, ngl, like an RTX 2080 for reco settings?, sounds like a bad PC port waiting to happen.

Also ayy lmao at SE deciding to completely shadow drop TWEWY on Steam with that measly discount (og asking price is pretty much 50, which is a joke for such a niche game), no advertising, and dropping it two days before Persona 5 lands.

It's almost like SE are deliberately setting up for the game to fail on Steam, so they can go "see the Epic deal was objectively based for us". Ain't touching it anyway, since I don't buy exclusives that touch Steam a year later, not gonna reward that kind of shit.

The biggest joke about TWEWY isn't even the price tag or it releasing near P5R/Gotham Knights/MW2. The biggest joke is the fact that SE has remastered the first version but that's not on PC... It's on mobile and the switch. So even if people wanted to play TWEWY instead of all those games, it's like who the fuck is gonna play the sequel without playing the first one?

Sometimes I think SE has brain damage lmao

This just compiles that whoever is calling the shots for their PC sector are super out of touch with reality, either that or they are on drugs.

Personally I think that TDP won't be any less than 400 watts. The reason is that AMD already announced 50% performance per watt but they are also more than doubling the core count while upping the clocks. I highly doubt they can keep similar TDP as the 6900XT without sacking a lot of performance.

As I was talking before with JEMC, that's the most likely scenario. The Radeon 7000 flagship will need at least 400W and most likely around 450W, to err on the safe side, to be competitive with the 4090.

That being said... I hope they also release something good with a lower TDP. I'm not touching anything over 300 W. It likely wouldn't even fit in my case anyway *shrugs*

Elden Ring gets a 25GB HD Texture Pack, overhauling over 4500 textures
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/elden-ring-gets-a-25gb-hd-texture-pack-overhauling-over-4500-textures/
Modder ‘Bardo’ has released a must-have HD Texture Pack for Elden Ring. This HD Texture Pack, which weighs around 25GB in size, uses AI techniques to upscale over 4500 environmental textures.
Do note that this pack will only enhance the game’s environmental textures. Thus, you can expect better textures for trees, rocks, paintings, groundcovers, skyboxes, clouds, etc. All armors and characters are untouched, so don’t expect them to also look better.

Zombie Queen Elizabeth and King Charles cut from Fallout: London mod
https://www.pcgamer.com/zombie-queen-elizabeth-and-king-charles-cut-from-fallout-london-mod/
One of the most exciting Fallout 4 mods in the semi-near future is Fallout: London, which is due out in 2023 and will take us across the Atlantic to see how jolly old England coped with a bunch of nukes being dropped on it. We've seen a lot of the mod already, both in this lengthy gameplay video and another that gave us a tantalizing glimpse of ridable bicycles and weaponized elephants.
Something we won't be seeing in Fallout: London, however, is Queen Elizabeth. Original plans for the mod included a ghoul-ified version of the United Kingdom's longest reigning monarch, complete with blue dress, fancy hat, and two little ravenous corgis ghouls by her side.
But the real Queen's death in September has led to the mod creators' decision to remove the zombie version of Elizabeth from the full-conversion project. (Note: ghouls, particularly feral ghouls, are occasionally referred to as zombies in the Fallout universe, though it's usually considered a derogatory term.)

The other half (more or less) of the Thursday news:

Without warning, Warhammer 40,000: Regicide has been removed from Steam and shut down
https://www.pcgamer.com/without-warning-warhammer-40000-regicide-has-been-removed-from-steam-and-shut-down/
Warhammer 40,000: Regicide is a bolters-and-chainswords take on chess that was good enough to land square in the middle of our grand ranking of every WH40K game ever. Sadly, its days of glory are over: After seven years of operation, the servers have been closed and the Regicide has been delisted from Steam and mobile storefronts.

McDonalds is offering an epic Overwatch 2 skin in Australia

Cheers love, the Maccies is here.
Blizzard is offering a skin to McDonalds customers in Australia and New Zealand at the moment. I can't say it's a pairing that I would have instantly thought of, especially as a region-exclusive item but hey, I'm sure Tracer loves a Chicken Select as much as I do at 2 am. We're basically soul sisters.

'Fallout's yours'—Todd Howard learned he could make Fallout 3 from a Post-It
https://www.pcgamer.com/fallouts-yourstodd-howard-learned-he-could-make-fallout-3-from-a-post-it/
The Fallout series recently celebrated its 25th birthday, meaning that in another decade it'll be old enough to run for president of the irradiated United States. (...)
In a video published by Bethesda this week (embedded below), members of the Fallout 3 team shared their memories of taking over the development of the series—including Todd Howard, who served as Fallout 3's game director. Turns out Howard received the earth-shaking news that Bethesda had acquired the license for Fallout the same way I remind myself to take vitamins: with a Post-It note.

Marvel's Midnight Suns hints at Deadpool joining the team
https://www.pcgamer.com/marvels-midnight-suns-hints-at-deadpool-joining-the-team/
An awful lot of hero-types have passed through the roster of Midnight Sons, the original spelling of the super-team that's now known as Midnight Suns, and which will soon be brought to the world of videogames as Marvel's Midnight Suns. Most of them are C-listers at best, like Iron Fist, Man-Thing, Morbius, Werewolf By Night, and Wong, but there are a few names that have been brought to popular acclaim by the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Wolverine, Doctor Strange, maybe Blade if you're into that sort of thing. One name that is definitely not on the Midnight Sons list, however, is Deadpool.

Minecraft's new camels are already here in a new beta build

Technically, anyway.

We finally know when Bastion will return to Overwatch 2
https://www.pcgamer.com/we-finally-know-when-bastion-will-return-to-overwatch-2/
Have you seen this robot? He's about 7'3", approximately 2 tons, and has a friendly bird on his shoulder. After nine days missing from the game without any updates, Overwatch commercial leader Jon Spector announced on Twitter that Bastion would finally return to Overwatch 2 on October 25. By that time, he will have been gone for over two weeks. Spector also announced that the Junkertown map has been removed to fix a bug affecting graphical performance, but it'll be back on the same day as Bastion.

Modders figured out how to keep playing the Street Fighter 6 beta, so Capcom removed the game
https://www.pcgamer.com/modders-figured-out-how-to-keep-playing-the-street-fighter-6-beta-so-capcom-removed-the-game/
The Street Fighter 6 beta was good. Like, really good. So much so that the few players who were even able to get into the beta wanted a way to continue playing after it ended on October 10. Well, it happened, and now Capcom has put everyone on the naughty step by removing the game's executable file from people's computers.

400 watts lmao. Almost as a 40 fucking 90

Or like HU puts it: The 13900K is trying to compete with high-end GPUs on power draw.

Or as Steve from GN puts it: Intel is trying to brute-force high gaming results.

Speaking of which:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P40gp_DJk5E

Also worth noting that HU couldn't manage to get over 5.5Ghz on their sample, and it started throttling after just 17 seconds.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWw6q6fRnnI

While I do think 13900k is a bit of a joke with those power figures, the 13600k looks pretty insane.

https://www.techpowerup.com/review/intel-core-i5-13600k/6.html

It does still sip a lot of watts, especially if you truly push it:

https://www.techpowerup.com/review/intel-core-i5-13600k/17.html

But I think in gaming even without unlocking the power limits, it will be very competitive. Techpowerup does have gaming figures but theirs look a tad too Intel favoured compared to other review outlets so I'd get a second opinion on that. Regardless of which, for $330, you are getting close to 5950x in multi-theaded performance while being close to the top in gaming charts.
