GeForce RTX 3070 vs. Radeon RX 6700 XT, 50 Game Benchmark

Of course, you can't have an hardware unboxed video without downplaying Nvidia such as with Vram despite the results showing how little amount of games it actually affects and how easy it is to circumvent. It's why I don't generally bother watching their reviews but just looking at the data.

So 50 game benchmarks, but only one title with raytracing activated (plus F1 2021 with "raytracing lite")? Control, Dying Light 2, Cyberpunk, Doom Eternal, Cod Warzone... all with deactivated raytracing? On the other hand the optional HD-texture pack of Far Cry 6 installed, which barely make the game prettier?

Sure, that looks like a balanced and fair test, where both cards can play to their strengths!

Yea it's hardware unboxed so they try their best to make AMD look good. But their data is pretty legit and it continues to show how much better getting Ampere really is this generation. Even at the area where RDNA 2 was supposed to dominate (Raster), Ampere really is the best choice. I think the only time it makes sense getting RDNA 2 is a 6800 vs 3070 Ti. Every other time though, getting RDNA 2 is a mistake.

In terms of feature set, AMD needs RDNA 3 to match what Nvidia offered in Turing.

Like I get what happened to him with nvidia was shit and we all gave Nvidia shit for it (including Linus), but this just seems like a personal grudge being used to make money, and well...that's shit and should have been kept under wraps, but I guess youtubers aren't gonna do that so easily.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Yea pretty much. I have seen some reviewers purposefully adjust Ray Tracing settings to make AMD look better instead of setting it all to Ultra. It's quite hilarious cause then Radeon fans will link their Ray Tracing comparison and say, oh look, it's not that bad. When in reality if you read the individual reviews, uhh no, they are making Nvidia look bad while making AMD look better than they should be.

Luckily as more and more games get Ray Tracing and such, the reviewers can't keep hiding behind their dumb biases and will need to adjust their benchmarks to showcase Ray Tracing. It's quite shameful that the reviewers didn't realize how forward thinking Turing was and they bet on the assumption that Turing won't be able to keep up in the era of Ampere vs RDNA 2 so getting Turing Ray Tracing/DLSS was pointless. Now you have a situation where Turing is aging like Fine Wine and RDNA 1 is left in the dust. RDNA 2 will be in a similar situation against Ampere but lets see if AMD gets it right on their third attempt.

Just saw this shade in Alex Battalia's GTA5 video:

I remember the foliage wars between PS4 and Xbox One, which ignored the advantages of the PC version.

Also no tombstones on the PS5 graveyard:

I must say, between GTA Trilogy and GTA V on ps5/seriesX/s, it feels like Rockstar is falling from grace. The difference between ps3 and ps4/pc was such a huge leap that many aspects was noticeably improved. GTA V on the new consoles feels like various PC settings turned up to Ultra but not every setting and with added Ray Tracing shadows. Overall it all feels very minor which is quite the shame.

I really hope GTA VI blows my mind out.

Yeah Rockstar used to be a machine. Churning out high quality content gen on gen with multiple games, different IP's and full single player expansions. These days they just seem to riding on the success of GTA V (online) and not much else for several generations.. well that and RDR 2. They outsourced GTA collection to a horrible dev and then spend years on what seems to be a quite straight forward port to PS5 and Series consoles.

Its going to be years away.. but I'm quite looking forward to playing GTA VI.. I just hope of it content wont be neutered too much for modern audiences. Seriously, the virtue signalling, censorship and overly and in your face PC in media these days is such a drag. I guess that's why I enjoy more Japanese/Korean content these days over Western stuff. Like I can't see most of the stuff in GTA games making its way into 6 without a lot of controversy.

I just want a modern day return to Vice City where I can get my Drive on, then I can wave goodbye to R* if needed.

Lol so true. I keep going backwards in time for western TV shows because I am tired of all the woke nonsense in today western content and that is certainly going into games. I was in a bit of a hiatus when it comes to anime cause of all the western stuff like Game of Thrones and Expanse and etc. But now that there's all these shows that are pretty cringe, it's like no thanks.

Quite the shame that we can't have modern content without adding in nonsense but alas. Hopefully it's just a fad and goes away eventually but until then, least we will have our Asian content.
