One thing I will say about the 6500XT reviews is some of them have some conclusions I don't agree with. As an example, I have seen reviewers say "If a used 580 costs the same a 6500XT, I'd rather buy a 580."

While on Paper that may sound like a good idea because a 580 is better than a 6500XT, a used 580 that's now 5 years old that costs $300 might not be a good idea. Not only do we not know what the used GPU has been through, it's also out of warranty.

So if you can find a GPU that released sooner like a 5500XT or a 16 series from Nvidia that's about the same price, I agree. But buying a 5 year old GPU, while may be a good idea on Paper, might not be the best idea in the grand scheme of things...

Responding to concerns from fans on the official Steam forums, the community manager of publisher THQ Nordic says that “nothing of this will affect Rome or THQ Nordic in any shape or form, not now or in any future plans that there may be”. A member of the Expeditions: Rome development team adds that “not everyone who worked on Expeditions: Rome will join Dynasty,” and notes that “the Expeditions series has been owned by THQ Nordic since before Rome began development. https://gamerant.com/hogwarts-legacy-development-update-news-release-date-2022/

Developments since then have pushed back against that claim, with the latest news being that Hogwarts Legacy development may actually be going well with the game on track to launch at some point in Q3 of this year.

Activision’s CEO wants Xbox to revive Guitar Hero and Skylanders
https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/activisions-ceo-wants-xbox-to-revive-guitar-hero-and-skylanders/
Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has said he’d like to see Microsoft bringing back some currently ‘retired’ series once its acquisition deal has been completed.

What's more is that Phil Spencer has named several old franchises to revive, namely King’s Quest, Guitar Hero, and HeXen.

Xbox CEO Phil Spencer on reviving old Activision games as Microsoft positions itself as tech’s gaming company
https://www.washingtonpost.com/video-games/2022/01/20/xbox-activision-blizzard-phil-spencer/
But it will also be adding an element that newly minted CEO of Microsoft Gaming Phil Spencer sees as core to Microsoft’s strategy for consumer acquisition: A slew of video games and long-abandoned franchises.

I'd love to punch Kotick in the face. He's the one that milked Guitar Hero so much that it killed the franchise and he's also the one that decided to leave every other IP they had in a drawer and focus only on Cod. And now he has the bal "audacy" of saying something like that? F*ck him!

Not only that, but AMD isn't exactly great at supporting old architectures and, while the 580's GCN 4.0 architecture is still supported with new drivers, all the other GCN archs have been moved to legacy. That's also something to keep in mind.

Grand Theft Auto Vanilla Vice Mod Version 1.1 available for download
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/grand-theft-auto-vanilla-vice-mod-version-1-1-available-for-download/
Modder ‘yazlow’ has released a new version of the Grand Theft Auto Vanilla Vice Mod for Grand Theft Auto Vice City. In case you weren’t aware of, this mod packs numerous fixes and new features, though it tries to stay as close to the vanilla experience as possible.
For example, Grand Theft Auto Vanilla Vice adds mip-maps for all game textures. Moreover, it adds the ability to use the mouse to control the camera on vehicles. Furthermore, it introduces an autosave after completing each mission.
>> There's a video of the game with the mod (12 minutes long), and you can download it from ModDB.

This Cyberpunk 2077 mod turns it into a survival game
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/this-cyberpunk-2077-mod-turns-it-into-a-survival-game/
Live in Night City is a new Cyberpunk 2077 mod from FonWasH that adds a whole bunch of survival mechanics to CDPR's neon-drenched RPG. One of the slight oddities of Night City, although I suppose you could say this about tonnes of games, is there's food and drink all over the place, but it doesn't really do much: But now you choombas will find those microchipped stomachs grumbling.
The mod allows you to manage your character's hunger, thirst and fatigue, with appropriate penalties if you're not paying attention. The vanilla state of the mod won't kill you outright for completely neglecting these features, but basically make V a bit useless. Fairly obviously, you eat and drink to regenerate V's thirst and hunger, while fatigue is relieved by having a nap in his apartment (or on the sofa).
>> That's a really cool mod.

Finally. This game really caught my eye when it was announced but it's been practically radio silence for four years since. Glad it's not dead, though I'm a bit annoyed how many games are going roguelike/lite these days.

Played Disc Creatures for a bit, it is an old-school Pokemon game, perhaps too old school. I am not fond of the fact that the default Steam screenshot button (F12) is used to reset the game.
