Yuge Cypro crash yes! TSMC spiking prices welp. I shudder to think how GPU prices are going to be as well as future CPU's. PC gaming going to get more expensive ?

And those ARC numbers.. I know it's a synthetic benchmark but still lol, those are horrible numbers. Have a feeling their drivers are going be coming in hot.

Chip prices set to rise into 2022 as TSMC hikes rates

Intel Arc Alchemist mobile GPU with 512 Execution Units shows up on Geekbench

So... If we take that number and compare it against geekbench 5's database:

https://browser.geekbench.com/opencl-benchmarks

Now because the GPU is still some ways away... I wouldn't put too much thought into it... But still kinda wtf.

At first I thought that it could be running at low frequencies, but the article says that it runs at 1800MHz so... yeah, it doesn't seem like Intel's first try will cause much trouble to Nvidia nor AMD.

Remember the "we need competition" motto we say when talking about Intel, AMD and Nvidia? Well, looks like we'll need to start saying that for TSMC as well.

C'mon Samsung! C'mon Intel! C'mon GloFo!... C'mon, please, someone.

Sadly, if I read this chart correctly, then despite the fall it's still 20% above early July value. It got a bit less profitable, but it's still profitable for most.

The score ain't very high... but we don't know it's TDP settings or anything else about that mobile GPU. It could be a decent GPU compared to the MX 450 or 3050(Ti) variants with lower TDP settings.

Intel could push the GPU easily for it's laptops, and I'm sure they will do so.

SALES /PLAYER COUNT & DEALS

Garry's Mod has sold 20 million copies
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/garrys-mod-has-sold-20-million-copies/
As the name implies, Garry's Mod was originally a Source Engine mod that let the user muck around with that engine's physics, models and props. The mod released in 2004, before spawning a standalone product on Steam in 2006. Now, in 2021, Garry's Mod has sold an astounding 20 million copies.

Stardew Valley has sold over 15 million copies as creator shifts to new project
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/stardew-valley-has-sold-over-15-million-copies-as-creator-shifts-to-new-project/
The incredibly addictive farming sim Stardew Valley has officially hit 15 million sales, as developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone announces he's shifting focus to an unannounced project.
The press page for the game shows the new milestone, after previously hitting 10 million sales at the beginning of 2020. Those kinds of numbers are no mean feat for any game, let alone one that saw a large chunk of its development handled by a single person. While there's no data for sales across individual platforms, last year's milestone predicted that around half of all the copies sold were on PC.

GOG has a new sale and a nice surprise for the Star Trek fans:

Steam has three new deals:

Call Of the Abyss is a 15GB new overhaul mod for Dark Souls 3
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/call-of-the-abyss-is-a-15gb-new-overhaul-mod-for-dark-souls-3/
PapaAppa and Kez have released Call Of the Abyss; an overhaul mod for Dark Souls 3 that is around 15GB in size and adds new weapons, spells, items, armors and more. The duo released the first version of this mod (which is not final) and shared a gameplay video for it.
Going into more details, Call of the Abyss comes with new weapons, spells, good, items, armors, areas and even bosses. This mod aims to have a more darker gothic atmosphere to it. As the duo noted, the entire game is undergoing a complete lighting change as well. Some maps will be dark and foggy with noises or creatures shrieking in the dark and some maps will have golden lights.

These rad Fallout: New Vegas animation mods turn you into a wild west gunslinger
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/these-rad-fallout-new-vegas-animation-mods-turn-you-into-a-wild-west-gunslinger/
Fallout: New Vegas is one hell of an RPG, but its animations leave a lot to be desired, especially in a world where first-person shooter hands have done some pretty rad things. NexusMods user Hitman47101 is attempting to rectify that with some awesome New Vegas gun animation reworks. They've released ten new animation sets since August, with the latest, an overhaul of the Hunting Rifle animations, coming out today.
Eight of the ten mods released since August 3 are for various New Vegas firearms, while the other two are reworks of the RPG's throwing knives and combat knife. Each mod reworks every facet of the weapon's animations, from drawing and holstering to reloading and firing. While New Vegas is set in the far-off post-apocalyptic future, it's always felt like a western to me, and these mods really help set that mood—and I appreciate that tonal shift to the past after the post-apocalyptic summer heat I just survived.
