We all knew it was only a matter of time before someone put them back. I may have even said that when I posted the article about the new cameras, but I'm too lazy to look for it (plus God knows when that article came up).

The SSD is crazy, insanely fast... and, as you said, useless for any home user. I'd take that 2TB WD Black over the Intel one every single time. Hell, even that 4TB drive at the bottom of the chart will feel almost as fast as the Intel one, but with 5 times the capacity.

Yea pretty much. I guess it would be the perfect SSD for Chia mining if that's still a thing.

Glares at Take Two/Rockstar/2k

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

^Don't forget Ubisoft and probably EA too (I haven't bought a game from them in years, so I'm not sure).

Anyway, some passionate fella has made some charts comparing the GPUs released in the last 10 years and some results are very interesting.

Here's the link to the Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/hardware/comments/o87h5z/i_made_charts_showing_how_much_efficiency_amd/
Or here's the link to imgur for the different charts: https://imgur.com/a/ZUZaTYu

Here are some:

And how did the introduction of RT hardware affect the performance/transistor ratio?

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

So my sister wants a gaming laptop as a graduation present as she graduated from highschool.

I am thinking to give her the Asus Strix G15 with AMD 5800H and 3060 as that blends in good performance + good screen + 9 hour battery life + great speakers. Anyone else got any suggestions?

Yeah: give her your Dell XPS 17 with a 2060 Max Q / i7 (after a proper cleaning ) and treat yourself with a new laptop.

Lol I thought about it but I like my Dell XPS 17 because I can play games on it without it sounding like a Jet engine at work.

That laptop seems pretty good for the price. Main drawbacks for me seem to be a) no webcam, which she might need at some point, especially for job interviews, and b), the screen. True, it's relatively fast, but low luminosity and low color gamut make it's speed the only advantage it has. Also, is that 16GB memory 2x8 or actually 1x16?

I made a similar version on XMG, though with a 4800H as the 5800H is unavailable and got to 1600€, so pretty similar in price, but with an HD webcam and a faster, brighter and better screen (and the option to choose a 165Hz 1440p screen instead at no extra price):

(since the config is not saved in the link, you'd need to make it yourself if you wanted, but that's only a couple clicks)

Thanks for the input but Euro to CAD would make it cost $2300 which would end up being a bit too much as we can get a pretty high end 3070 laptop for that price. And yea, the webcam is the only urghh thing about Asus laptops but she said she is fine with using an external.

I'm playing through Quake 2 RTX today. Still an awesome game!

And so well balanced: GPU 100%, CPU 2% - 5%:
