^ That was quick response from AMD lol. And more like it. So the RX 6800 XT should fall in between the 3070 and 3080 there.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Imagine GPU scarcity is so bad.. that the one you bought in 2017 (GTX 1070), is worth as much as it was now lol

Good news for Nvidia users. There's a DLSS plugin for UE4 now.

Hopefully more and more games & engines adopt this tech!

Rage 2 is going free on the Epic Store next week
https://www.pcgamer.com/rage-2-is-going-free-on-the-epic-store-next-week/
The bad news, if you didn't snag For the King and Metro: Last Light Redux for free from the Epic Games Store prior to this afternoon, is that it's too late now—they're gone. The good news, however, is that there's a different freebie that you can grab instead, Halcyon 6: Lightspeed Edition, a "massively enhanced" version of the 2016 sci-fi strategy-RPG.

A slightly bigger name is going on the block next week: Rage 2, id Software's pink-apocalypse FPS, which we described following its 2019 release as "an exceptional shooter cursed by a bland world." It will be joined by Absolute Drift, a minimalist top-down racing sim from Funselektor Labs, the maker of the Art of Rally.
>> I wasn't going to buy Rage 2 but, for free? I may just grab it and give it a try.

AMD has released a new GPU driver (v21.2.2), and with it comes a few bug fixes, including one for a game that is over two decades old. That would be Quake III Arena—installing the latest driver eliminates corruption when loading or playing the game. That's great and all, but the biggest benefit is not even mentioned in the release notes.

Richard Garfield on Artifact's failed monetization model: 'We wanted to avoid manipulating people'
https://www.pcgamer.com/richard-garfield-on-artifacts-failed-monetization-model-we-wanted-to-avoid-manipulating-people/
When he reviewed Artifact for us, Will Bindloss concluded by saying, "Value for money, I'm well aware, is going to be a big factor for many looking to buy the game." (...)
"I wish it had been better received," Artifact designer Richard Garfield tells me when I ask about how he feels about it in hindsight. "But I'm very happy with where the design ended up. Working with the guys at Valve was a lot of fun, they're very smart folk and they took my design direction seriously, but they're smart enough that they gave lots of pushback in the appropriate places and we ended up with something I thought was better."

Disgaea 4 Complete+ on PC finally has online features
https://www.pcgamer.com/disgaea-4-complete-on-pc-finally-has-online-features/
If you want multiple hundreds of hours worth of number crunching, tactical turn-based combat and irritating voice acting, you really can't go wrong with a game in the Disgaea series. So it's a shame the series' PC ports have left a little bit to desire: Disgaea 5 on PC lacked the online features found on PS4 and Switch due to 'irreconcilable platform differences', and when Disgaea 4 Complete+ released back in September, it too lacked online support.
But in the case of the latter, NIS America said at launch that online was coming at some unspecified point in the future. That time is now: Disgaea 4 now has leaderboards, a map editor, and a handful of other online-oriented features.

Getting into trouble with the law abroad is never a good time. But while I've run afoul of a few Berlin traffic cops, I've never had to flee from a town whose police department consists of one Godzilla-sized policeman.

A number of Rocket Lake Engineering Sample vs Zen 3 and the 5700G series cpus have been leaked. Take these results with a grain of salt. I wouldn't be surprised if Intel cpus perform slightly better post release as I am sure the drivers and etc aren't ready yet.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

DF released their "The Medium On PC" video and... Essh...

Even when you turn down settings to achieve a smooth 1080p 30fps with zero frame pacing issues with a 3090. The in game movement animation and camera movement has stutters. Not because of the hardware or frame pacing issues, but because of the shit coding! This might be the first video that I have seen where Alex could not do an optimized setting cause the frame rates and etc are that bad. You can achieve 60fps with RT off and DLSS on but even then, there's problems.

The one thing to note is that there is a new patch that says they fixed some of the performance issues while the video is pre-patch.
