The Solitaire Conspiracy is the latest from Bithell Games, and specifically what the studio calls a 'Bithell Short'. The idea is that these are "experimental games that explore side ideas or genres that we don't get to play with in the likes of Volume or John Wick," said Mike Bithell in a series of tweets announcing the the new project.

Drake Hollow, the next game from The Flame in the Flood studio The Molasses Flood, was supposed to be out in July, and if you happened to be eagerly awaiting its arrival, you'll know that it didn't happen. It did make it to the Xbox One console in August, however, and the team announced today that it will finally arrive on PC on October 1.

In the most recent This Week at Bungie blog, the developer announced that it would be 'Honoring a Friend' in the form of a new quest designed to pay tribute to a fallen colleague. Matt Helsom was a senior artist and videogame animator with Vicarious Visions, which was one of the Activision studios that worked alongside Bungie for Destiny 2. Helsom died last year at the age of 45.

The city of Austin cancelled the 2020 South by Southwest festival in March as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the first time in 34 years of operation that the big tech-and-culture event had been halted. Organizers said at the time that they were looking into rescheduling the event, as well as at setting up "a virtual SXSW online experience," and today they announced that it will take place in March 2021.

The deal cost an eye-watering $7.5 billion—nearly two LucasFilms—and very suddenly gave the company ownership of The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Wolfenstein, Dishonored, Wayne Gretzky Hockey, Prey, Quake, and more, collectively representing a massive leg up for the Xbox console in its never-ending struggle for dominance with Sony's PlayStation.

Two familiar faces will be joining Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone as operators when season six launches on September 29, as the Call of Duty blog explains. The trailer ends with the two riding off together in an underground train after working together to gather some intel, and rumor has it a subway system looping through seven stations will be added in the season six update.
