NVIDIA Geforce 452.06 WHQL driver released, optimized for Microsoft Flight Simulator

NVIDIA has released a brand new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the NVIDIA Geforce 452.06 WHQL driver provides the latest performance optimizations, profiles, and bug fixes for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Furthermore, this driver also provides optimal support for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands pre-patch on the public test realm as well as for A Total War Saga: TROY and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.
Additionally, this driver adds support for eight new G-SYNC Compatible displays – gaming monitors. These monitors are Acer’s XB273U GX, VG272 LV, XV272 LV, CP5271U V, X34 GS, and PG329, as well as IO DATA’s GC252UX and Lenovo’s Y25-25.
Naturally, this driver also packs a number of fixes. For instance, it resolves the black square corruption issues around characters in Path of Exile. It also addresses randomly freezes – that last a few seconds during gameplay – in most Assassin’s Creed games.

At long last, Microsoft Flight Simulator has taken flight in the public airspace, and right on cue, AMD and Nvidia have released optimized GPU drivers to get the best performance while taking to the skies—you might need all the help you can get. And as is typically the case, each respective driver package also includes some additional goodies.
Starting with AMD, its Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.8.2 driver package includes performance tweaks for four games: Microsoft Flight Simulator, A Total War Saga: Troy, Mortal Shell, and the Marvel's Avengers open beta.
AMD's latest driver also brings with it a few bug fixes.

In case you weren’t aware of, Devil May Cry was created when Capcom was experimenting with Resident Evil 4. Contrary to the Resident Evil games, Devil May Cry was a more action-oriented title. And, it appears we’ve just gone full circle as Wiwilz has released a cool Devil May Cry 5 mod for Resident Evil 3 Remake. As the title suggests, this mod allows you to play as Trish from DMC5 in Resident Evil 3 Remake. Similarly to most character swap mods we’ve shared, this one supports facial expressions. However, there also some minor bugs and issues.

If you downloaded the Microsoft Flight Simulator pre-load expecting to dive straight into the game at launch, well: take a seat. The pre-load only downloads the game's client, which weighed in at a suspiciously tiny 532.5MB. Once the client is downloaded, you'll have a 91GB download awaiting.

The Furious Wild expansion for Three Kingdoms adds four new factions, new jungle zones on the strategic map, more than 25 new units (including beasts!) and new tech trees. It will be available on September 3 for $20/£15.

I'm with you. Well, not with the selling it and be done with PC gaming but I do agree that I wouldn't like prices to explode again.

Sadly, I fear that with both Nvidia and AMD going all out and the mining scene starting to gain popularity again, we could be in for trouble.

The only positive side of it is that the mainstream cards like the RTX 3060/RX 6600 could be enough to handle next gen games at 1080/1440p.

That could only work in countries where the price is final, but in the US (as far as I know) the advertized price is the one without taxes.
