Igor Wallosek has shared a new block diagram for the Ryzen 4000H and U series platform codenamed Renoir FP6. The diagram reveals the sad truth about PCI-Express interface bandwidth limitation. This could be the main reason why notebooks makers have avoided pairing high-performance Ryzen 4000 CPUs with more powerful graphics.

Rumor: NVIDIA is interested in purchasing ARM
https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/rumor-nvidia-is-interested-in-purchasing-arm.html
Nvidia is said to be interested in obtaining chip designer Arm. That is what sources involved in this say to financial news agency Bloomberg. Last week it was revealed that SoftBank, the current owner of Arm, would be considering a sale.

Nvidia has, according to Bloomberg sources, approached Arm in recent weeks about a possible acquisition. According to the sources, other bidders could emerge, but details are not yet known. Four years ago ARM was acquired by Softbank for a sum of 29 billion euros, and since then the value raised. Nvidia may have the means to acquire ARM after having recently been listed higher than Intel, but whether Nvidia's interest will eventually lead to a deal with SoftBank remains to be seen. Should it come to this, it would be the largest takeover in the history of the chip industry.

A takeover of Arm will be watched by numerous authorities as many companies depend on its technology. An acquisition of Arm by Nvidia will mean a shift in the market and increase Nvidia's chances of growing in different markets.

Nvidia buying ARM would be kinda cray cray. I can already image my all-Nvidia gaming PC after the world has switched from x86 to ARM.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

That would be one hell of a deal and would certainly help Nvidia get into the cpu space. Apple might shit themselves if it does go through as they have stayed away from doing business with Nvidia after their macbook fiasco.

If they aren't allowed to buy an x86 licence, their money piles have to go somewhere else.

So why NOT buy ARM which allows them to make their own APUs and will rake them in money from the whole mobile market?

Valorant had the biggest launch ever for a free-to-play game on the PC
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/valorant-had-the-biggest-launch-ever-for-a-free-to-play-game-on-the-pc/
SuperData has shared its monthly report, stating that Valorant had the biggest launch ever for a free-to-play game on the PC. According to the company, the game’s revenue and player numbers put it ahead of what the PC version of Apex Legends achieved in February 2019.
Valorant also made more than its closest competitor, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in June despite the Valve title having a slightly larger audience. CS:GO user numbers and revenue were also down for the second straight month in June. This could indicate that Valorant is siphoning away players.
Now we should note that Apex Legends did earn more overall at launch due to its console version. So yeah, that multi-platform release actually paid off.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is an indie ode to Jet Set Radio, with the original composer
https://www.pcgamer.com/bomb-rush-cyberfunk-is-an-indie-ode-to-jet-set-radio-with-the-original-composer/
One look at Bomb Rush Cyberfunk ought to tell you what game it's inspired by—it's clearly a spiritual successor to Jet Set Radio, the 2000 Sega Dreamcast classic by Smilebit. The teaser released by indie developer Team Reptile is very, very brief, but it's so close to Jet Set Radio in style that fans immediately know what to expect — spraying graffiti, skating around the city to funky beats and of course staying one step ahead of the police at all times.

I think the PCIe x8 is simply due to the chip's mobile origins. Bristol Ridge, Raven Ridge and Picasso all only had PCIe x8 to cut down the size of the chips since their main usage is mobile. And it's 64GBit/s should still be enough for bigger GPUs, especially the Max-Q variants.

Of course, considering how powerful the CPU is, it's a bit of a bummer, especially for their Desktop counterparts. So I hope they go bigger next time - though the jump the PCIe 4 will already help a lot even if it stays at x8.

For myself, it doesn't change too much, I'm only interested into a 4600G for a light gaming PC (for my wife) which would get transplanted later on into a home server.

Not sure if they will be allowed to, considering they are making their own designs out of the chips and countless others do so, too. This would certainly be a red flag for many companies as they could not be sure anymore they would get the same level of hardware than one of their competitors does, namely NVidia with their Tegra chips.
