Based on previous rumors, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 is going to be based on the Ampere GA102 GPU core. The same core will be powering the higher-end GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics cards. The latest details on the performance of this graphics card come from KatCorgi who has stated that the GeForce RTX 3080 will feature up to 20% performance increase over the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.

That's all, a tweet saying that.

Those performance percentages are utterly useless. Could relate to anything. RTX, 8K, some benchmark, who the fuck knows?

But, after so many rumors telling us how these cards are much, much better in RT than Turing, it'd be a bit of a disappointment if they're "only" 50% better,

You meant 20%? 50% would have been Big Navi, not the 3080.

However, even if the 3080 is only 20% faster than the 2080Ti, that doesn't say anything about the 3090 or a 3080Ti.

But you still need to have it installed either way. 

Just like everyone is still forced to have the steam launcher installed. Everyone has to sacrifice something for the greater good.

Considering the amount of people that use Steam and value it's features on a daily basis, I'd say it's the opposite. 

Not sure how Epic is the "greater good" though. You don't get much with a bare-bones client. 

Considering the many millions of people who downloaded the client in a short time frame and get a free game every week I'd say the value proposition isn't too bad. So far the launcher hasn't raped my family yet, which is pretty much on par with steam, minus the free games of course.

Riot's lead character designer for Valorant has debunked rumours that its next two playable Agents would be called Crusader and Shatter.
The two agents were found within the game's files by dataminer Valorant Express, who quickly concluded that they were scheduled for imminent inclusion into the game. Both have been recurring names within the Valorant mining scene, popping up in the files throughout both the closed beta and the live game. It was rumoured that Shatter's primary ability would be to create a clone decoy of themselves that would later explore, while Crusader could deploy a shield.

Nope the rumored 3080 would be 20% faster than a 2080Ti and also 50% faster than a 2080. That would be a great improvement gen over gen in every metric except for ray tracing, where in would fall a bit short of my expectations given the rumors we've had.
