Hi-Rez's take on the tactical hero shooter genre, Rogue Company, is out in early access on the Epic Game Store from today. The trailer to unveil its early access launch was shown off at the Summer Game Fest conference and focused on the newest of the game's 12 "rogues", the sword-slinging Ronin.

Griefhelm's fast-paced 2D swordfighting launches on August 20

2D medieval swordfighting game Griefhelm got an extended showing at Day of the Devs today, as well as a release date of August 20, 2020.
Griefhelm is the work of solo developer Johnny Dale Lonack, and features fast-paced tactical duels in a "dynamic, replayable campaign". The art style in particular is incredible, with some really impressive lighting work going on as you fight your way through foggy battlefields and fire-lit tents.

2D Soulslike Blasphemous gets free Stir of Dawn DLC on August 4

One of the more interesting games we saw during today's Day of the Devs livestream is a "hand-pencilled horror tale" called Mundaun. Set on a great, strange mountain in the alps, it begins with the mysterious death of an old man that leads to the discovery of something far more sinister.

I Am Dead is a puzzle-adventure game about a museum curator named Morris Lupton and his dog Sparky, both of whom are dead. That's not really a problem, though. The real issue is that the tiny island of Shelmerston, where they lived in more corporeal times (and which remains packed with locals and tourists alike), is about to be destroyed by a volcanic eruption, and they're the only ones who can stop it.

Riot's lead character designer for Valorant has debunked rumours that its next two playable Agents would be called Crusader and Shatter.
The two agents were found within the game's files by dataminer Valorant Express, who quickly concluded that they were scheduled for imminent inclusion into the game. Both have been recurring names within the Valorant mining scene, popping up in the files throughout both the closed beta and the live game. It was rumoured that Shatter's primary ability would be to create a clone decoy of themselves that would later explore, while Crusader could deploy a shield.

Infinity Ward has begun teasing the upcoming fifth season of Call of Duty: Warzone, and it looks like trains will be making their way to Verdansk very soon.
In a teaser trailer sent to popular Call of Duty streamer NICKMERCS (via CharlieIntel), footage from a train appears to show a helicopter flying overhead. At the top of the screen the date August 5, 2020 is displayed, hinting at when we can expect the new season to either begin or be further unveiled.

The report, which investigates recent reports of harassment, abuse and toxicity within Ubisoft, outlines how the publisher's culture of misogyny and "machismo" impacted on the games it produced.
