Ray Tracing set to Ultra = 1080p 30fps on a 2080Ti with DLSS disabled. This is an open world game so it isn't too surprising.

They also aren't sure if the next gen consoles will use the Ultra setting when doing ray tracing and could end up being a lower setting but also could be the same. Just as a friendly reminder that games with ray tracing do get better with post launch patches but hot damn. Thank god I didn't bother with 2000 series on my desktop.

3000 series is where it's gonna be at, baby!.

That said, I've no interest in Ubisoft titles anymore, and well, their stance with EGS is enough for me to wish for Guilmont's collapse.

Yea I haven't bought Ubisoft game in a while even when they were on steam after the horrible experience I had when I bought Hawx 2 with their shitty servers.

That said, Asscreed does look interesting but Cyperpunk is releasing around that time so skip for me.

did i really hear DF say that a 2080ti has trouble running WD:legion with RT?

It Ubisoft, you can expect crappy optimisation on PC.

But yeah.. that's not great considering its cross-gen game with some bells and whistles (RT - reflections) 1080P on ultra.

Gotta say I really like the setting. Its very rarely you see London represented in games and its cool they added in a lot of recognizable places and landmarks.

I just hate how over priced, samey their games are. Still doesn't help that they enforce both console parity (same texture detail as consoles, LoD's etc) and extra layers of DRM. Ubisoft called PC pirates for yrs and never apologised for that, and them siding with Epic just shows the greed. For small time indies, yeah that'd make some sense (though I disagree with it), but not an already rich AAA company.

I feel like CYberpunk will be the better game,e specially on PC. We'll no doubt see Ubisoft posting the usual "LOOKIT THESE EXCLUUUUSIVE PC FEATURES!!!11" trailers for the supposed "PC" version. I've noticed they did it with Watch Dogs 2 and Ghost Recon Wildlands, so it's likely to show up for Creed as well. I just find that marketing out of touch and obnoxious, because they like to pass off as if 60+fps support, 4k rest and some slightly better shadows are something of a "juicy bonus" for us, when really that's exactly what I expect from the get-go, for any AAA game. Don't market and spoon feed me shit I expect from ya'll, it's shit talking.

The fact that they have to come out with those trailers (looking at you as well R*) tells you how little they think of the platform, that they have to rip something out for years, put it back in years later and act like it's new, and they they truly love us (god I hated that Ubi "we love PC gaming" trailer).

Exactly, it's Ubisoft, they could care less about optimising their PC ports.

Look at their insane history of Anno, Ghost Recon, Watch Dogs (remember the text file for the first game that basically added insult) Watch Dogs 2, Far Cry series, hell most of their PC versions have been crummy for years, it's no wonder they get any support on the platform with how shitty they treat it.

I lol'd when ppl cited Origins as being "demanding", yet it had the same LoD's as consoles, short shadow render distance, object detail distance, same console level texture detail, and to top it off, 3-4 layers of DRM to biog down performance.

Yeah, that's why I've only really play their games on consoles. There is so little effort put into PC ports that I kinda predict that most of their open world games will be quite janky at launch. Even after a few patches, AC and WD will still run like crap and require some brute forcing to get a smooth experience.

Plus disappointed at the use of RT on what seems to be a current gen looking game. RT reflections barely looks any better than using SSR and adds a crap tonne of performance loss. I hope more devs don't go this route. When you have the Cyberpunk 2077 and their implementation of RT, their engine and games look worlds apart. I'd rather devs put more into improving their lighting tbh.

I won't buy a Ubisoft game on PC. Bugger 'em.
