Crysis remastered seems like a demaster in areas... It was always going to be difficult to beat Crysis rendering pipeline as it opted for quality over performance, hardware be damned, no compromises. - Even if it is 13 years old.
Not a fan of how the lighting model is showing up some of the assets, it's giving the game an over-bloom cartoonish vibe, but that could just be the colour grading.

Will be interesting if they throw SVOGI (Aka. Ray Tracing) in the Xbox One/Playstation 4 releases... Very much doubt it.

Severely cut back foliage.

Much improved material shaders, much improved post-process pipeline resulting in a very clean, albeit soft image.

Modded Crysis vanilla is still the definitive place to play, but still early days yet.

Part two of the news:

Fortnite: Save the World is finally out of Early Access
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-save-the-world-is-finally-out-of-early-access/
Fortnite's trajectory makes for a really interesting slice of videogame history. It launched into an "Early Access Season" in July 2017 and didn't exactly set the world on fire—until September, when Epic unleashes the PUBG-inspired Fortnite Battle Royale on the world, which changed, well, everything. The ostensible new mode (remember when it was just a "mode?") quickly took over the whole show, to the point that Fortnite Battle Royale is now the "real" Fortnite, while the game as it was originally envisioned was branched off into Fortnite: Save the World.
Over the years since then, while Fortnite has grown progressively bigger and more influential, Save the World has plodded on too, doing its own thing along its own path of Early Access development. And now, finally, it's finished.

No wonder Crysis is getting delayed. It didn't really look better than the original, and I wonder who thought trying to release what we yesterday saw made any sense. I'm a bit skeptical about how much Crytek can really change while still aiming for a 2020 release, but let's hope for the best.

I'm not surprised to see Crytek doing that, but it worries me that they waited to see the reaction of the people to take action and fix it.

As for an ARM laptop performing like another ARM laptop, well, it doesn't really impresses me. Compare it to the current x86 Apple model and see what happens.

I remember taking draw distance to the MAX! tweaking Crysis, and it looked pretty cool but deadly for PCs given its extremely single-threaded engine. I wasn't too concerned as to how the Remaster looked, as long as the tools to easily push the graphics are still there.

It's even less impressive if you remember that Apple is still sticking to AMD GPUs and we're having no information if that Apple sample was running with an integrated GPU - but the Surface X did, so it had to divide it's TDP budget between CPU and GPU.

Edit: I checked what modern CPUs can reach in Geekbench 4 and a Core i7 10875H can get 30000 points in multi, so about thrice that score. In fact, it's eerily similar to the score of a 2018 MacBook Pro with an i7 8550U or even a 10 year old Mac Pro with a Xeon W3680(just in multicore this time, CPU is practically identical to an Gulftown/Westmere Core i7 980)

So, in summary, it falls very short from any modern laptop using x86 processors.
