I hate the fact that when people say that they do not like this game they get called a fanboy or not a true gamer for not liking the game or something.

No. I really like interacting with most people here and don't care at all for those who troll etc. Growing so emotionally attached to a website that arguing with some idiots on it can emotionally hurt you does not sound like a good idea.

Last Of Us is an exception of course :P

It is one of my favorite games this gen but I can understand that some people won't like the pacing or story or something.

But obviously its not just Last Of Us. Games like Halo or Call of Duty or Mario does not please everyone, and yet you can be called a non gamer if you do not like these games. I for example loved Halo 1,2 & Reach was not a fan of 3 & 4. But sometimes you dont want to post this info with the fear you will be absolutely ridiculed in the comments.

Some people are so into their favorite company, it's almost religious. Someone like that would take what strangers say on the internet personally, and be emotionally affected by it.

I've seen users who are like this, really nice people. I genuinely feel sorry for them, but I know I can't do a thing to help.

You kidding right? You can't be further from the truth on this one. If you like Halo, CoD or Mario you are consider a casual gamer on this site and many others. There a reason why so many hardcore gamers dislike Halo, CoD and Mario games because it caters to the casual gamers.

Replace those games with KillZone, UnCharted and God of War and you have a good point.
