Nintendo will not drop the price of the Wii U to $250. Not until Q3/Q4 2014. A realistic price drop would be $269 (if Basic Set still exists) and probably $319 (for Deluxe Set). I hope that by 2015, they introduce brand new, higher quality gamepads. Probably with at least 2 MP cameras (front and back sides), AM OLED screen (Multi-touch), 3x the range distance from console, and maybe better stereo speakers. Some analog triggers and shoulder buttons would be nice too. I gave these ideas to Reggie @ E3. He seemed interested in what I was telling him. He told me that they would "have to have a big-enough installed base" and "make it cheap enough to keep the price balanced with potential future reconfigured Wii U SKUs." Idk what he means by "reconfigured". Maybe addition of USB 3.0? Ethernet port? Internal HDD? Possibly even the removal of Wii backwards compatibility? Who knows. Only time will tell..
