Forums - Gaming - Xbox One doesn't comes with a headset

The fact the PS3 did not come with a headset was a big area of detraction early 7th Gen. It is supposedly the reason that Live appeared to be more populated and vocal then PSN.

If most people didn't care about boxed in headsets then neither of the above would have been the case.

EDIT: The issue here is that it appears MS has been taking several steps BACK as opposed to forward. Going back to AA Batteries(at first) when the X360 Slim had rechargeable standard just like PS3, and now this.

What? No, the 360 S had regular AA batteries for the controller.  I use the same one from the Wii NiHi rechargables.

Or

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

lol the reversal.

I can still remember PS3 diehards defending that it didn't have a headset and 360 did.

Ironically 360 having one standard is why the 12 year old kids on Live were so noticeable.....where as MP games like Resistance 1 were quiet.

Besides, kinect is supposed to handle it to a degree, as it can distinguish your voice from others in the room if need be.

Still, you would think with a console that cost $500, ms wouldn't be so cheap as to not even include a headset.

Think MS is going for the wireless approach here, and kinect handles the communication.

Now its time for the 12 year olds to plague PS4 online matches :P

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Kinda pissed that my $300 dollars Astro A50' will not work at all on the Xbone.

Well thank god for the mute button xD
Wait since it uses kinect, doesn't it mean the voices will come through your tv?

Damn how much does kinect 2.0 cost, it's like it's forcing them to cut cost anywhere they can so they don't have to ship and overpriced console.

Simply place the Kinect on top of your head. Bam. Best of both worlds.

it will, people dont know or forget that you can use the PS eye for voice chat online and it works fine, i used it for a long time. I imagine the Kinect will be fine for it too. But to the general populace it is going to raise some eyebrows. I personally think headsets like the 360 one suck anyway and prefer bluetooth
