Also the PS4 controller uses a 3.5 mm jack whereas the XBOne uses a proprietary one. Turtle beach has already confirmed that all headsets made for the PS3 will work for the PS4 whereas they had to create all new headsets for the XBOne.

So in short, future XBOne owners who enjoy their expensive headsets on their 360 or PS3 will have to go out and buy a new expensive headset while I can still use my Pulse Elite headset on the PS4 :)

its called an adapter

Which albeit not ideal, isn't going to upset too many people. Though I suspect the adapter will be anywhere from $19.99-$29.99. Many will say this is neglible, I would agree if I wasn't so sick of Microsoft nickel and diming me as they always have.

I'd rather pay for an adapter than buy a new headset.

But someone that doesn't have a nice headset (turtle beach) and wants one will need to pay for the headset and then pay for the adapter on top of that.

Well for the most part that is true but some companies like Turtle Beach are already making dedicated Xbox One headsets.

its extremely hypocritical how xbox fans act about something that Microsoft doesnt do that sony or other companies do. in the last few years you could see tons of xbox fans claiming exclusives dont matter anymore, why? because microsoft was barely making any. now that microsoft has announced a lot of exclusives they suddenly matter so much again, and its so damn important, then when the sony gaikai thing happened you could see tons of xbox fans bashing it, microsoft announce the cloud for xbox one, then cloud computing is the best thing to ever grace gaming, they arent the same thing, but they are very similar. motion controls was just a gimmick with the Wii, but with kinect its innovation (PS eye doesnt exist) and the kinect thing is the best thing that ever happened with gaming controls.

for years i heard people complaining that the PS3 doesnt come with a headset, were the complaints valid? yes. but now that sony gives out a headset for FREE and microsoft doesnt it isnt an issue? it isnt an issue that microsoft even restricts what headphones you may and may use. its outstanding the amount of hypocrisy people speak.

Wow!  Ok...where to begin.

Microsoft is including Kinect.  Kinect has a 4-mic array.  It actually works really well, in fact it is clearer (on the Xbox 360) than headsets.  If they do background noise cancelling with Xbox LIVE, it'll be even better with Xbox One.

There will always be those who believe the Sony evangelists that say exclusives are important.  Exclusives aren't important.  Games are important.  Exclusives are simply icing on a cake.  The problem aren't Xbox gamers that now say exclusives are important, they're still the Sony evangelists that do.  The Wii U has essentially nothing but exclusives and it's a dying system.  Exclusives are only its life support system.  Third-party developers are the vitality of a system.  The Xbox 360 has demonstrated time and again its vitality through the sales of third-party published/third-party games.  So much so, that even despite the PS3 closing up the sales game between console units, the Xbox 360 still solidly hands the PS3 it's ass in software sales world-wide.  So, no.  Even if things reverse themselves in the coming generation, third-party games will be the life-blood of any system.  Exclusives are simply the frosting on that cake.

Gaikai is a Cloud-based service, it isn't "The Cloud".  Sony has been focusing Gaikai on delivering games over IP.  That isn't the same as what Microsoft has been working on.  When Microsoft refers to "The Cloud" they're talking about three different things.

1.  Remote processing.  The ability to offload computer processing to a remote system.  This includes the ability for different consoles to work together to generate real-time worlds.

2.  Dedicated  game servers.  The ability to host gaming sessions and gaming environments on remote systems for larger player groups, bigger play environments, and persistent worlds.  This also gives publishers the ability to access dedicated hardware for less money and provide services not only to Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows PC gamers, but also to PS3, PS4, Mac, and even Linux gamers.

3.  Remote storage of content.  The ability to store and maintain an unlimited amount of data online.

Does Microsoft have the ability to deliver gaming over IP, probably, but their focus right now is in providing the three capabilities I mentioned and they're doing so by not only investing in 300,000 new servers, which by the way will be hosting virtual servers so the actually number of new "machines" will be exponential, but they're also adding a new data center in BFE to help provide those services.

Besides buying Gaikai, what actual investment has Sony made to the infrastructure of either PSN or Gaikai?
