Also the PS4 controller uses a 3.5 mm jack whereas the XBOne uses a proprietary one. Turtle beach has already confirmed that all headsets made for the PS3 will work for the PS4 whereas they had to create all new headsets for the XBOne.

So in short, future XBOne owners who enjoy their expensive headsets on their 360 or PS3 will have to go out and buy a new expensive headset while I can still use my Pulse Elite headset on the PS4 :)

Which albeit not ideal, isn't going to upset too many people. Though I suspect the adapter will be anywhere from $19.99-$29.99. Many will say this is neglible, I would agree if I wasn't so sick of Microsoft nickel and diming me as they always have.

I'd rather pay for an adapter than buy a new headset. 

But someone that doesn't have a nice headset (turtle beach) and wants one will need to pay for the headset and then pay for the adapter on top of that.
