It's not even adding something new that I want. Just mix it up devs. Fpses and movies are not fun anymore. Something new wouldn't hurt either, though.

you obviously havent played the last of us, and you obviously are bashing everything xbox1 and ps4 in this thread because you stated before in this thread that both X1+PS4 developers dont care about gameplay.

LOL. what a counter argument, where did I praise 3D World? Exactly. I said it will be fun, nothing more. I love how you always jump on conclusions. I saw enough reviews to judge the Last of Us gameplay. And I don't bash things just cause they are PS 4, Xbox 1. I just said it how I felt it was 100 % of the time, if you don't agree, no problem. Things are here to be discussed. Poeple are so easy to piss of these days.... ridiculous. Always acting like I insult other people who like these type of games.

its pretty clear what you like and what you dislike, without even playing the game you manage to downplay its gameplay and your judgment comes from just "watching reviews" and its funny how you accuse me of jumping to conclusions when you are the one who bashed every PS4 and X1 game. and who said i was pissed off? just because i disagree with you doesnt mean i am pissed

LOL, every ps 4, xbox 1 game. Last of Us (cause overhyped, by someone called best game of the decade/ever) Killzone 4 (based on the demo cause it is a typical FPS with better graphics) I bashed Ryse (a game based on Quick Time events in this time deserves it), Order 1886 (and i don't even bashed it, just said that the cinematic bandwaggon won't change this gen) AND? right, I never bashed anything else. And sorry to burst your bubble but you can judge gameplay on videos unlike story, atmosphere, level design. Cutscenes. These are all things you have to experience for yourself. But gameplay you see from a mile away.

It's not that it has to do anything new, it's that it takes things that have been done in other games, done before, combines them, and does them SO DAMN GOOD. I found The Last Of Us to be phenominal in not only the story, where it shines, but in the gameplay as well.

1.) The game was far less linear than the Uncharted games, but still directed you in order to support the excellent story.

2.) The gameplay mechanics were clearly immensely polished.

3.) The combat was steller, being able to asses the situation and deal with your enemies in a wide variety of ways.

4.) I absolutely LOVED the stealth aspect to the game, and what's cool about it is such a style of gameplay was completely optional.

5.) The real-time crafting system as well as resource management was, IMO, well executed. 

I could go on, but what's the point? All I'm trying to say is, innovation and excellent gameplay still exists in big blockbuster AAA games, however when your focusing on the generic COD's, the games that push out the same nonsense every year, you're going to blind yourself from the gems that still make gaming so great. 

You don't like cinematic games?? No love for God of War, Uncharted, The Last of US and Bioshock?

Speaking on bioshock, that game should have been more 'filmic" and less shooty :)

I never said that the gameplay is bad, but when people are praising it as the best game ever I actually look for more then the typical polished experience I saw like 5 games ago. I don't know what's so hard to understand about my opinion. Doesn't affect the opinions of you guys in the slightest "Oh no, someony doesn't appreciate the game enough, kill him!" Hypocrites.
