The PS4 is arriving everywhere this year but not in Japan lol XD
seems like Sony is really going all out with the PS4, will be very interesting to see the first week sales.

Console sales in India are actually growing. In Japan, it's the opposite. Their population is also growing older at a rapid pace making things even more gloomy. It's in Sony's best interests to leave the JP region as a lower priority. "Home country" doesn't mean much for multinational corporations

Brazil, South Africa, India, Middle East... it seems Sony is confident they can produce a ton of PS4s if they are willing to take so many consoles away from the American and European launches.

I was in Pakistan last summer and I personally saw the PS3 selling like crazy there. They have PLENTY of game stores there and all they practically sell are Sony consoles. They don't even carry Wiis or 360s because hardly anyone buys them. Surprisingly, the PS3 over there costs the same as it costs in the US, so naturally the thing is flying off shelves. I expect the PS4 will launch there for around 50,000 rupees (roughly 500 USD) which is great because the PS3 launched there for 72,250 rupees (at that time, it was about 850 USD).
