When this game was annouced the thread was overloaded with comments about how awesome it was that that she looked like said actress. I even remember when everybody got a kick out of Kojima, tlou and beyond using her likeness at the same time. Noooow it can barely be seen. Full of shit. It's Ellen Page with modified features to get away with not having to license her.

Ellie looks similar, but not at all the same, even the original version. As others have pointed out, she looks similar to a lot of girls that have that generic look.

A quick Google search and I found this.  Oh no!  They look similar!  Ellen Page needs to sue!  Why do you copy, Linda Cardellini?

Check out the comments from the change from over a year ago. It's obvious everyone thought Ellie looked like Ellen Page so the changed her model a bit.

If I was on a actual computer I would track down VGC's own thread about the announcement. In that very we are comparing the Ellen Page models from Fox Engine, Beyound and The Last of Us. I would not be

So if it's intentional, and was done without her permission, she has a potential legal claim against them. But as you noted elsewhere, she's somewhat generic-looking.

Yes, they do.  I never said they look the same.  I said they both look similar, just like Ellie and Ellen look "similar."  The picture in my post resembles Ellen Page more than Ellie resembles her.  That's the point.
