I don´t care what Noah Antwiler says, FFVIII is the best game in the series for me. FFXIII and XIII-2 are really hard to swallow though =/

I am pretty sure you have never played them for real. I can talk because I HAVE Alan Wake (great), Gears of War 1 ans 2 (great) and Halo ODST (awfull). I have a 360, I have FINISHED THESE GAMES.

Play UNCHARTED, LITTLEBIGPLANET, Killzone 2 and Last of Us, from start to the end. Then we can talk like adults.

I loved PS1, PS2 and still loved PS3.

I owned Xbox 1 and 360 also.

Also owned Nes, Snes, N64, Wii, Mega Drive, Ps2, Dreamcast.

 

My fave consols are Nes, Snes, N64, PS1, Dreamcast, PS2, XBox and 360.

SO Im pretty varied.

I have played Uncharted 1,2 and half of 3. Good series, not gret for me. GOW3 my fave PS3 game. LBP good game.  etc.

I know what I like.

But the GDDR vs DDR thing you should look up. GDDR ram is for GPU.DDR is for CPU. On the CPU sie Xbox ONne has the advantage. GDDR isnt good for CPU work.

A counter thread? I mean really? Ah well ... both seems to be good systems. I will likely go for the PS4 first though since I prefer the launch lineup. Plus I'm still a little bitter with Microsoft since they gave my country the shaft. Nevertheless, both look good.

- More talented and artistic developers (Naughty Dog, Santa Monica, Poliphony...).
- More raw power.
It is 399 dollars, which is 100 less than Xboxone and only 50 more than WiiU, but with 500GB HD, which is only 32GB on WiiU =D

Those are the big three advantages of PS4 over Xbox the rest are not that important.



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Good thing the ps4 is a gaming device designed for high end graphics using only 1 gb of ram for the os, compared to the hodge podge that is the x180 which needs 3gb of ram for its os... So yes gddr5 is superior in every way than ddr3 in regards to a gaming device

I can see it happening even if it's just a means of price cutting the hardware later down the line.

It would be a shame if they didn't, it would be the first time in over a decade I won't buy a new Xbox. Even Halo isn't enough to get me to touch that Kinect nightmare ever again after having one on the 360.

Uhh no, DRM is a software issue. The Kinect is a hardware issue. Just like the disk drive and the hard drive, you cannot have the x1 function without kinect. That's how it was built by MS, so that having the kinect be mandatory, it can be used by any developer and maybe reach its potential.

Playstation is a single player machine and always will be. Xbox 1 is day 1 and PS4 in a few years when the library builds.
