That's a pretty cool concept. This will probably be a day 1 purchase for me (assuming I have an X1 by that point).

Because it's for the Xbox One, which is about trying to do things differently instead of maintaining the status quo.

Day one buy for me, this is gonna be a great exclusive title.

pretty sure the commercial downfall of alan wake wasn't the gameplay.... it was actually quite easy to play it... not perfect but not broken.... I think the genre was the problem... you take alan wake qualities and you make it an action sci-fi theme and it would have sold like crack....
quantum break theme alone will sell the game if the rest is half the quality of alan wake it will be a blockbuster....

and it's not just segment of gameplay interrupted by cut scene.... it is full TV episode of a show from what I gathered so far and your character is part of it and your choices influences certain aspects of that episode.... I haven't seen a game that did all of that in one package... so yeah it's breaking some boundaries...

I won't completely judge the "game" by now but I am glad to see new ideas to arise and I think it's good that some studios at least try to do something new. Apparently many people don't like new ideas and call "bs" before they even played the game. The picture of the gamercrowd gets worse and worse these days.

yeap.... agreed I haven't seen a fan base that bad since..... well since ever.... it looks like a bunch of old farts got to interbreed with histerical teenagers... but I blame it all on Sony and the death of the Dreamcast.... :P
