Steve Jobs accomplished nothing in his entire life.

Any other argument is pure sophistry. I would have loved to chat with this guy in order to expose him to himself for the childish tyrant he was.

I'm glad he's dead and I can only hope Apple falls by the wayside as well.

Isn't that affirmation a liitle bit on the hyberbole type of figure of speech?

I'm pretty sure your sentence is relative, regarding he was successful financially and was recognized for his role at Apple.

Well, I suppose it's subjective.

If you think being financially successful and pirating ideas is an accomplishment, then you might feel differently - and you're entitled to your own opinion on the matter. I'm just voicing mine.

Pooping on people's grave is badly seen. And yeah, we won't see drugs, selfishness and betrayal.

Pirates of Silicon valley is awesome if you want this

Christ, man! What did he ever do to you?

I don't know enough about him to judge him. But i'm sure he wasn't as great as he was made out to be

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

'When the people are being beaten with a stick, they are not much happier if it is called the people's stick'- Mikhail Bakunin

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

I'm pretty sure it will be like the book, which paints him in a positive light creatively speaking, but negative in anything related to social behavior, and also shows that many things he did weren't his creation. If Jobs didn't want his authorized biography to show him as flawless, then why would the movie do it?

I'll just say that much like Jesus, I don't find him to be worthy of all the praise/worship.

I'd be more interested in a movie about how Microsoft have screwed over MANY more millions and thousands of companies over the years but that one wont happen because Microsoft don't have the pulling power for a movie

"...the best way to prepare [to be a programmer] is to write programs, and to study great programs that other people have written. In my case, I went to the garbage cans at the Computer Science Center and fished out listings of their operating system." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

"Hey, Steve, just because you broke into Xerox's house before I did and took the TV doesn't mean I can't go in later and take the stereo." - Bill Gates (Microsoft Corporation)

Bill Gates had Mac prototypes to work from, and he was known to be obsessed with trying to make Windows as good as SAND (Steve's Amazing New Device), as a Microsoft exec named it. It was the Mac that Microsoft took for its blueprint on how to make a GUI.

""Windows [n.] - A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition.""

Sure, but when you say "Steve Jobs accomplished nothing and any other argument is pure sophistry" it tends to come off as arrogance rather than honest opinion.

Wow, had we replaced Jobs with Kaz, Nelson or Iwata some people here would have been moderated hard.

Never liked him and was annoyed that people around the world were sad when he passed away because he was nothing special.
