I dont even think the NSA would want to watch Video Gamers infront of their Kinects....

OT:  When I think of Console Developers, I think of:  Atlus, NIS, Japan Studio's and the like.  They still exist and do well, but are generally the smaller guys.  Most Sony Exclusive Studio's might make Console Exclusive Games but I wouldnt call them Console Game Developers (Sony Santa Monica? Naughty Dog? could see those games on the PC)

I think the point is that the PS4/XB1 are just reasonably powered PCs. For current developers, they simply need to take the mid/high end PC version and optimise them for that precise build, it is very different from the PS3 where you need to code it in a fundamentally different way to any other device to make it work properly

Good point...handhelds and smartphone games have old school console dev mentality for sure. Maybe the second coming of console style developemnt is going to be tied to iOS and android devices penetrating the livingroom

SCEJ, Nintendo EAD, Tecmo, Natsume... mostly Japanese.

Don't forget all of Nintendo and Sony's wholly-owned studios in the west like Retro, NST, or Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica, etc.

Hmmm.....Maybe this explain why the 3DS is so popular because it pretty much feel like a gaming console on the go.
