All well and good except the's one thing that proves what you posted is BS, MK8's developer video they confirmed MK is 1080p at 60fps which calls your source into question.


except nintendo released offical pics from my mario kart, and guess what, there  720p.

Pictures mean bugger all as they can be scaled to any resolution, the game is confirmed to run at 1080p 60fps by the development team, no argument can counter this, why don't you try arguing that the world is flat as well.

Why are you so certain that Mario Kart 8 will not be 1080p when it has already been confirmed that Super Smash Bros is 1080p?

 

While not evidence in itself, don't racing games have a history of being rendered at resolutions higher than almost all other genres?

Listen, a FEED or PICTURES being at 720 means jack, since those could both be scaled.  Best Buy "eye-test" impressions that a game is at 720 are pure hear say.

Now, is the game 1080?  No idea.  But stop posting BS on the best buy crap as if it is definitive.

I would love to see the source where the developer says the game is running at 1080P /60.  There is a big difference between saying the demo was running at that vs. "that's our goal" (which we've heard all to often already).   If Mario Kart 8 runs at 1080p/60, color me impressed.

You seem to be implying I said it would run at 1080p. I never did. I'm actually sceptical of the 1080p claims, we had a similar false alarm last year with the Wii U version of Black Ops II. I just asked for a source to his 720p claim, because he has a habit of making up figures that support his agenda.

impressions from neogaf have rarely been wrong when they say it looked 720p, and then you have 720p pics of the, its more like 99% chance mario kart is 720p.

SSB media is also 720p yet it's confirmed it will be a 1080p game.
