I agree! From what i was told its not an exact science, but it is most accurate for nintendo software.

Monster Hunter isn't Nintendo software though.  3G had 971 points and opened to 522k.

Fair enough then. So using that as an example we can probably put monster hunter 4 at around 550k at the moment.
