The Tales series.  You know, the ones published Namco.  Think I'll like it?  Should I buy into it?

I'm an RPG fan.  Classic turned based is my preference.  But whether it's western or Japanese or realtime or strategy and as long as it's quality, I'll enjoy it.  But will I like Tales?  I once owned the original Tales of Destiny for the original PlayStation.  Didn't like it, didn't get far.  Maybe I was spoiled by Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Suikoden, Vandal Hearts, and Wild ARMs at the time.  But I sold it to a friend, and he didn't like it either.  Since then, it's left a bad taste in my mouth.  But there has been so many Tales games that I feel like I've beeen missing out.  So what do you guys think?  In or no in?

After being through around what I assume is 75% of Vesperia...

Symphonia is still better. Nostalgia? Maybe, but the dungeons in Vesperia are so poorly designed. Symphonia had much better puzzles and a more cohesive story. I think Vesperia has a more streamlined and forgiving battle system though.

Between the HD Symphonia collection and Vesperia, I'd say go with Symphonia.

Get tales of graces f

Easily one of the finest jrpg's from this generation

and the story is soo cheeeesyyyyy

Take that ass to the store, buy it and find out lol

I love the Tales of games and Tales of the Abyss is the game that hooked me. I would say rent it if your skeptical and if you like it buy it.

Abyss for 3DS
Grace for PS3/Wii
Vesperia for 360

Play Vesperia or wait for Symphonia HD.

If you like them, try Graces.

The "Tales" series have grown through out the years both in story and combat system. I have no doubt you will enjoy Vesperia (360) and Graces f (PS3).

Symphonia is also a good "Tales" title which you can get in a compilation of 1 & 2 next year on the PS3.

Tales of Xillia is also just around the corner for the PS3. :)
