I want to be like this:

Buying digital makes me feel like I'm paying for air somewhat, unless it's a digital only game (like Okami HD) or a GOG sale game for 2 bucks.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

This past generation I've seen my digital library grow extensively, largely because it is much cheaper to buy PC titles online (particularly when you wait for sales). With that said, it sucks that the bulk of my digital library isn't really mine (from an ownership perspective), which makes me feel less certain that I'll have access to these games in the future (in contrast to most disc-based console games that I've collected over the years).

Great point! I missed the environmental angle in my barrage of pro points.

I remember a platform that tried to go all digital. It was called the PSP Go.

I like physical because it gives me a better sense of power over what I own. Its in my hands... not out there in a cloud. Where my account can get hacked... where I risk servers possibly crashing... its in my hands.
I see digital as a way that THEY can get more control of what what we paid for. Conversely, a physcial copy gives me more power.
All gaming systems, consoles/PC, have thier perks... why fight over preferences? I like Coke and you like Pepsi, that's it, let's not fight over which toy we like best cause that's what they are. Is someone's preference in a toy important or is the relationship between you and your neighbor more important? Answer is obvious, but THE most important thing is your relationship with God almighty. God Bless you in Jesus's name.
I can communicate without talking... I can send a loved one money without actually sending money... and I can commit theft without the product disappearing, the point of theft is the point of theft not one of it's possible symptoms which is the product dissappearing. The thief wants to gain something without paying for it, that's the point of theft, the thief doesn't have to care or anybody else has to care if the product dissappears. The product dissappearing is just a possible symptom of theft. Gifts are sacrfices, in order to give a gift, it has to be a genuine sacrfice/gift, meaning a copy of the game isn't still in your PC. Piracy is theft and/or being a culprit of theft.

I know a platform that's all digital that sells $20 billion worth of content a year. That's the equivalent of over 300 million full price games, BTW.
