With all of the news around E3, post E3 fallout, and the release of The Last of Us, it's been busy. With things calmed down a bit, I'm reflecting back on some of the details that may have been glossed over when we were all focusing on DRM, the latest titles, and avoiding Clickers. In what will be an incredible feat if it works, Remote Play over WiFi via the PS Vita will be supported for all PS4 titles not requiring a special peripheral like the camera.
Shu Yoshida even confirmed this via Twitter:
I can't tell you how excited this makes me as a Vita owner and someone who preordered PS4.
PlayStation fans have been burned on this one before, so a few questions just to drive the conversation:
-Do you think Remote Play on the Vita for the PS4 will work? If so, how well?
-Any functionality concerns? (i.e. button mapping for L2/R2, L3/R3 or lag)
-Do you think PS4 multiplayer will work via Remote Play due to the increased bandwidth required by the PS4 to not only serve as a host for states/screens and controls for the Vita, but also as a MP client in the game?
Feel free to take the conversation any direction you wish, just interested to hear what others think.
