AAA games and used games can't coexist!

The numbers don't add up!

Man of Steel made 200,000,000$ worldwide this weekend.

Let me get this straight, Animal Crossing: New Leaf is the highest grossing Handheld Nintendo game since Mario Kart 7? While LA Noire used to be the highest grossing new IP ever? And Uncharted: Golden Abyss was the highest grossing Sony game? And all of this is beat by The Last of Us?

In what time frame is all this? (I'm probably more confused than I should be...)

A game cost much more than a movie-ticket though, so it isn't that strange

Last of us would need to sell almost 2 million to gross 100 million dollars... and then double that to match Man of Steel.

I really doubt it, Man of steel Made 20.7 million in late opening nigth 13 juin in US. the week just begun and report stated they pass the 220 million world wide, 3 days ....


It don't shadow the last of us awesomeness tho.

Reading this makes me mad I can't play the game yet. Still in the mail.

In terms of revenue Man of Steel trumps it obviously. Last of us sold around 1.3-1.5 mil according to early estimates so that isn't even 100 million.

In terms of profit, Last of us could have made more profit if we look at the first weekend alone. But that is because of budgets, Man of steel cost 225 million to make so they haven't made their money back yet.

Overall Man of steel should gross 500+ million though, plus 100+ million on DVD/Bluray/Digital sales + 10-20 million for TV distribution rights.

Last of Us should be around 200-300 million gross when its all set and done. What part of that is profit for Sony, no one really knows, but I'd make a safe wager that Warner Bross will make 300-400 million profit on Man of Steel.

Game is incredible, reminds me of Resistane 3 and its dark story .Last of Us stands on its own though and is hard to put down once you start playing it. Story is very rich with what happens to humans when society breaks down. The little things like the coldness shown when people are at there limits when things are dire. To the girl whistling and laughing in amazement because she has been sheltered like from the outside world like the ppl from technology in north korea. She is so amazed at the trees and grass basically all things nature because she has never scene anything like it.Being trapped behind the city walls her whole life you see her grow over the course of the game.While the story unfolds it just sticks with you what you see in this game. It's moments like this that make glad I bought a ps3. I have enjoyed so many killer games
