"Blame the pirates, not MS."
This is pretty funny. As much as I talk about piracy killing the PSP, now someone states that piracy is the reason Microsoft did this to the consumer base, yet everyone constantly said the PSP died because it had no good games when the PSP has atleast 100 great games. Shows that a lot of peoples comments are only when it's beneficial to their own motives.
I've said this three or four times but hey, here goes again. The problem with Microsoft screwing people over with authentication and once every 24 hour online is that once the Xbox One is hacked pirates will not have to conform to the same rules as those who legitimately buying the game. Microsoft isn't stupid. They know that this type of DRM would do nothing if the system was hacked and pirated.
Microsoft knows there's no way to stop piracy if the system does get hacked. What they're doing with the DRM locked Xbox One is greed pure and simple. They want to get as much money from the customer as they can. This actually doesn't affect major used game retailers because while they have to pay a portion of the money that comes from used sales to Microsoft, they're guaranteed more used game sales because they're the only place to sell to. It hurts used independent retailers who isn't on Microsoft's list of authorized retailers. It hurts the gamers who want to sell their games for a reasonable price. If I don't like a game I don't collect it, so when I sell the game, I sell it on Ebay or Craigslist where I can get a decent amount of money from it rather than selling it to the likes of Gamestop or Amazon where I get screwed.
So everyone is getting screwed over so Microsoft can make more money. The 10 family member thing? That doesn't hurt the Xbox One over how much they're going to be making over limiting where you can sell your used games. Microsoft is going to be making bank by screwing their customers.
*edit*
I just want to emphasize screwing over customers. Prison rape style. It's going to be painful(to your wallet) and you're not going to like it.
