Well...with the SNES layout, you've got easy access to all four buttons...I'm pretty sure that'd be fine for most GC games. It's definitely better than using a GC controller for VC games...the huge A button and X/Y buttons up high suck for old games that use them a lot.

imo it is tricky
classic => VC
GC/wave => gamecube games

rumble or wireless

i'd go for classic and wave

i own normal GC controllers (4x) ^^ and these work fine

personally, i like suing the wave for smash cause i think the rumble gets really annnoying

Yeah, but you guys are making things too complicated.

Wavebird + Rumble (just a little bit) + $30 = Happy Nintendo fans
Or even Wavebird + $25 = Satisfied Nintendo fans

Seriously, the Wavebird costs that much USED on ebay. I've seen new ones going for $50-60.

I want a Wavebird, but the corded controller + extension is VERY tempting. I don't like Platinum though, so I'll probably get the controllers elsewhere. I wish I'd gotten more controllers when they were cheap and everywhere ...

 Yeah, because there isn't an option in the menu to turn rumble off or anything...
