Yes totally agree !! We had tons of games every month on ps2 back then, domination is good especially when you own that one console.

Don't you think if there would be only one of the two (MS and Sony) that it would be much easier for that one company to push things like DRM?

Yes they easily can. But if the reason behind their domination was because the listened and knew what users want and need none of this would happen. It's their actions that lead to domination not the other way, at least as I see it.

I didn't care much about the amazing pre orders since they most of the time sell out. But the lead in gamestop in US territory, Xbox territory is definitely not good news for Microsoft.

Sony doing the correct things right now but that doesn't mean there this virtuous entity. They are a corporation that will focus on the bottom line, and their share holders over the consumer. If they dominate to much we will get 06 Sony who thinks they can charge $599 for a new console. MS keeps them on their toes and is the reason we now are getting $399 PS4

Well, they learned their lessons and are doing the right thing now, so, why can´t I be happy that they are getting some love after all this hard work?

Namelly, with the PS3:

- amazing exclusives

-psn plus with free games, full game trials and humoungous discounts.

Now, they have the best next gen console with the best price and the most developer friendlly (indie too) enviroment: LET THEM SELL A LOT!

Of course Nintendo and MS must survive, AND THEY WILL. But Sony deserves to get this recgnition for doing it right this round, because they are a corporation and their sucess can direct MS to the light too: more cool games, better deals and respect to the public.

It looks like the PS4 has good odds but this can shift. It are going to be 5 brutal months. And don´t forget how the 360 buttfu**ed the PS3 almost the whole generation until the PS4 finally surpassed it. I wish success to the PS4, but not because I am PS4 fanboy but because I want them to force Microsoft to change their atrocious terms. But I don´t want to see Microsoft fail. If Microsoft fails, Sony would be without a serious competitor. And this would fuck us all so bad.

You can add Switzerland to your list where PS4 is already best seller at all major online retailers and some videogames stores too. Oh and for France the FNAC site has also PS4 as top seller, followed by The Last of Us and the Xbox One.
