The core is buying the PS4. Will the casual follow? I think so. It's very very hard to justify a premium price point. Just ask Sony circa 2006.

Core make the fashion in video games

Same level of interest as PS3 before launch and after the ebay scammers bought them up, they were collecting dust on stores shelves.I expect its the same here as people buy 6-7 of them hoping to turn a huge profit. I also hope that like 2006 most end up taking a loss instead of a profit

True. But no company really showed games tailored towards the casual market. There is Knack for PS4 and Kinect Rivals for XBOX but other than that the list is very thin.

Yeah, but if one console flops, it either means there is no real competition for the other one anymore (apart from hopefully Nintendo) or that the company with the flopping console will launch a successor earlier than expected and thus starting 9th gen earlier (that would hurt sales of the leading 8th gen platform as well).
bizarre-galaxy.de - My Browsergame, but sadly only in german :(
You can play as an octopus, though!

There are varying degrees of casual and both consoles have games for everyone.
Just Dance 2014 and Call of Duty Ghosts are the big ones.
Oh please, you guys need to get off that casual market, the casual market goes for FIFA, MADDEN, COD, Need for speed, and others

I was in Eb games NZ yesterday, They said they haven't had many xbone pre orders and they dont expect them to sell out. He also told me they had alot of ps4 pre orders and that you will struggle to pick one up around launch here at the rate they are being pre ordered at.
Eggs, chickens, and hatching. There is half a year to go, what's happening now might not mean all that much.
