Maybe it's just me, but it seems like it's the most significant upgrade in the series since the jump from 64 to Double Dash.

So what do you guys think? Will the massive graphical upgrade effect things at all? Do you think the astronimical sales from the last home console Mario Kart will at least somewhat carry over and boost sales, signaling the series has permanently grown, or do you think we're looking to a more humble return to sub 10 million?

EDIT: While I'm at it, do you think 7 will sell more, or 8? We know the console installment tends to sell better than the handheld installment within the same gen, but perhaps a possible larger gap between 3DS and Wii U total sales will make this time different?

But more than 10 million. This one seems like a LOT of fun and the DS and Wii karts grew the brand.

This will depend entirely on how the Wii U sells. I'm predicting a 30% attach rate either way.

Wont do anywhere near MK Wii numbers, dont see it catching 7 or DS either, but might do better than DD

Wii version was god like in sales... I see around 20m sold at the very least.  Pretty much depends on the Wii U install base.
