As we all know, there's been a lot of negativity towards Super Mario Cats since it's unveiling. Never really got the jist of why that is, but it must have something to do with it's looks since no one had yet played the game. I always thought gameplay >>>>> graphics, but let's not get into that hehe. Anywho, to those of yal who went out to Best Buy store's across NA and played the game, what do you think? Did your views/opinions change? What did other people at the event think of it? Are all these criticisms justified? Keep your comments and especially your criticisms civil please!

At 1st, I was underwhelmed.

Then I played it and it was really really fun. Like REALLY fun to crawl up walls. Set aside the nerd rage a bit and go out and try it. It's really really just pure fun.

Cat Mario is one of the hardest platformers I've ever played.

What if you didn't play it but finshing Super Mario 3D Land and getting to world eight on the bonus worlds before you quit and while it's a decent game, you thought wasn't really that great of a game? The cat suit is just that. Another suit.  Like the Fire Flower, the Raccoon Suit, the Tanooki suit, etc. It doesn't really mean the game will play terribly different or be completely different.

All you had to do is watch the video and see that a lot of the unique level designs are going to just be rehashed like they were in the bonus worlds of Super Mario 3D Land.  And yes.  I didn't get through world eight of the bonus worlds because I didn't want to go back and get a lot of the special coins I missed in order to unlock them. 

Any respected grown up wouldn't be caught having fun playing video games.

Any respected grown adult knows that fun is just "fu" with a "n" tacked on at the end.

I just don't know if I like that they pretty much made it into another NSMB. I wanted a traditional, single player 3D mario. I'm sure this will still be fun, though, if I end up getting it...or a WiiU for that matter.
