while i have no plans to get XB1, i still feel of what was shown MS had there best confrence. Titanfall was likely the best of the show but while MS didn't win, they had there best show to date.

I haven't seen MS conferences older than a few years, but I think they did.
Which is incredibly ironic.

They had a good show, but the games aren't the issue. The problem was that there was one thing that everything was talking about before the conference and they did not address the issue at all.
There are undoubtedly some upsides, but they did not explain them properly at all.
But their actual conference when viewed in isolation was good. They showed quite a lot of exclusives, some good looking games and didn't waste much time being boring.
I agree. This year's MS press conference was absolutely fantastic. Game after game after game, just as it should be at E3 where most of us watching are gamers. Great conference, too bad about the actual console. Cut out the controversy, and the PS4 would have a fight for its life at this point.

Ignoring everything else that's been said, it wasn't just their best, but the best. Unfortunately ms gave sony huge ammunition to walk away with the win.

Yup agreed, well that and the damn price of $500, wouldn't kill them to drop it. Maybe if they didn't make kinect a requirement, it could be cheaper.

They did. You know what is even funny, some "hardcore" gamers out there were complaining at Microsoft for not showing games and exclusives. they did that very well this year. Sony did not... Lot of multiform and less games.
But because of a -100$ price point; this transform a mediocre conference into something awesome for them... I don't get it :) I mean, don't get me wrong, it is awesome to have the PS4 priced at 399$... But the conference (as a whole) was not better because of that. (well, that's my opinion at least).

Ya agreed with the first part. Though we did see some ps4 exclusives at their conference/event before. I did expect more though. For me personally the price was a big win. I mean between the x1 and ps4, they are pretty similar power/multi platform game wise. So the only real differentiation them is exclusives, which is all up to preference. Most games will be on both platforms anyways. So getting a platform that is $100 cheaper that does stuff like the other is good. Though xbox one has that kinect to drive up the cost. Not to mention the different stance on their console compared to Microsoft. I really do think, it would be a bigger choice for me personally if I can just get the console without kinect for $400. Then, it would be more of a choice. Though I admit the whole online, drm thing is a bit of an annoyance since I can't just do whatever I want like I always did.It was never a huge deal breaker though, just annoying.

Gamewise, it was no competition. They obviously won.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
