After watching Man Of Steel I don't have much too say other than...WOW!

The trailers looked really cool. 300 and Watchmen were amazing and the Dark Knight Trilogy is my favourite movie trilogy of all time and anything I've seen by Christopher Nolan is legendary in my opinion.

So all I'm gonna say is Man of Steel although not as good as the last two Dark Knight movies in my opinion still manages to make its way onto the top 10 best movies of all time (for me).

Dark Knight Rises>>Dark Knight>>Man of Steel>>Avengers/Batman Begins>>Iron Man (Decent) >>Iron Man 3 (Above Average)>>The rest of the CBM's suck.

I went to watch it yesterday night.

Copy pasted from an other thread:

This is definitely and easily the best Superman movie ever made. Not that it was difficult to do. Reeve's movies were good for their time, but when you watch them today, they haven't aged too well. Way too camp for my taste. Even if Reeve's charm is undeniable and still alive to this day. His Superman represents an older era that just doesn't work as well today.

Now that this is out of the way... I really enjoyed the portrayal by all the actors in Man of Steel. Henry Cavill is very good as Kal-El, and his acting is awesome throughout the whole movie. His acting is made all the more enjoyable when you see Clark in different eras of his [early] adult age. Where he's in different states of mind, in his build-up to becoming the Man of Steel. I'm trying not to spoil the movie so I'll remain this vague. :P

Amy Adams as Lois Lane is a delight. This actress is hypnotic. Something about her eyes, I think...

In any case, the creators did mix things up a bit when it comes to the mythos but still remained very truthful and respectful to the canon. Which I really enjoyed. Everything is explained in a convincing way. Old questions even, that have more often than not been ignored in the comics and other itterations of the story are resolved in this movie.

Since I just came back from the movie, I could probably go on and on... But I haven't yet fully composed my thoughts about it. My mind is still overwhelmed by how awesome it was.

I only have 2 small "complaints" about the movie.

- The movie could have benefited from a bit more character interactions between Lois and Superman/Clark/Kal-El...
- And sometimes, too much action isn't better than too little. xD

But I'm definitely going to go watch it again.

Oh, an other minus, but it's not really a complaint... Don't pay extra to watch the movie in 3D. I did, because they weren't showing the 2D version at the theater I went, and I thought the 3D wasn't really necessary, and was in fact barely noticeable throughout the entire movie (only exception being the Krypton scenes).

For now, until I see it a second time, the movie is a solid 4.5 out of 5. I really want to go watch it again. It was that good. It's among the top 3 CBM I've seen. Up there with The Dark Knight and Watchmen. But don't ask me in what order. :P

going to see it today, so I'll give you my rank later!

I do not know what CBM stands for, but it was really good!

I wish some fight scenes were not as long, reminded me of the Matrix in some areas ( Revolutions), but besides that I was pretty happy. Also would have liked to see his skin rip apart from all the stress in certain scenes. Knowing that he is not totally invincible makes it more believable for me. Also whenever he asked for help from the Humans I was happy as well. There has to be some uncertainty with him or it is not fun.
If I know that he is going to save the planet no matter what, because he is Superman, then I do not want to see the movie. Like the last one. I had no doubt that he was going to stop every danger that was sent his way.
Then I have not enjoyed the old Superman movies since the 80's when they were still fresh. Now, besides the first and second one, they are nearly impossible to watch.
This Superman movie made me actually like him again. I have not wanted to see anything about Superman in years. Go into it with no hype and you should love it! Or act like Pezus and get super hyped and be let down. Like he was with The Avengers.

I was superhyped and loved it...and it seemed everyone else in my theatre showing did too. And CBM means comic booc movie...

Wow it seems to be popular, I guess I should find a time to see it. I don't think I have ever seen a superhero movie, but am generally a big fan of them, so I'll probably like it (and my favourite new TV series this year was Arrow)

Well, American movie goers usually clap at just about anything. For instance, there was clapping at the end of Escape from Planet Earth, a low budget animated movie. But for Superman, the clapping was extensive and went on for a while. Everyone in the theater definitely really enjoyed it. As did I. I am happy that even the people who were over hyped enjoyed it as well.

Firstly I'm Canadian. The movie theatre I go to people hardly clap for aynthing. There was no clapping for

- Fast and Furious 6

- Star Trek into Darkness

- Iron Man 3

- Hobbit

- All the oscar moies except Django Unchained

- Amazing Spider-Man

- Hunger Games

And the list goes on. So people clapping in the theatre I go to is very shocking. Although the biggest cheers I've witnessed are

1. TDKR

2. Avengers (Hulk bashing Loki)

2. Avengers

Best movie I have seen all year. Fantastic.

Probably my 5th favorite Super Hero movie of all time, behind Nolan's trilogy and Batman Returns.

I liked Man of Steel a great deal. I thought it did great job of making a Superman movie that could appeal to modern audiences while maintaining the characters integrity. It was nice to have Superman movie in which the antagonist or antagonists in this case are a real threat to him. I also like the small added touches that were woven into the movie. Like the one that explained his costume for example. I may go see it again this weekend.

I am glad that you have waited to see superhero movies.

Original Batman was good. The last three Batman/Nolan movies were good.

Spiderman 1 and 2 were good. The new one was decent as well.

The Avengers

Thor

Iron Man 1 and 3.

Man of Steel

Original Superman 1 and 2 were decent.

The Matrix

Watchmen has a lot of fans.

Hellboy 1 and 2 may be worth your while as well.

Maybe Fantastic 4 movies.

That is all I can think of right now. Good luck!

That should have said Superman... I think have seen most of the films you have listed!
