Forums - Microsoft - Ryse's "QTEs" are always successful, even when not pushing buttons

When you do the button push you get more XP. So there is a negative effect that happens if you don't do it. But hey a 5 minute demo with 2 minutes of game play seem to allow everyone to have a great grasp on this game.

I don't wanna derail the thread too much, but Resident Evil 6 got wrongfully blasted about its QTEs, yet this sounds far worse. I wounder if the game's gonna get near perfect reviews because of this.

Well, if we are not supposed to judge a game by its demo, then why release the demo in the first place?

It's sad really because Ryse looks amazing graphically. I'm impressed more by these consoles than I thought I would be after seeing the specs of both and comparing to my PC. If anything at least it is a good tech demo for the Xbox One. I might pick it up when it drops to $20 to see what it looks like but there is no way I ever buy a Crytek game full price.

finally something new to hate on...

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Well hey let me judge Uncharted by the gun play scenes.

And I am talking about the overall impression of this game. What you saw on stage at E3 is what everyone is getting to play. Litteraly 2 minutes of game play and websites are telling people the game isn't fun. In turn people who can't think for themselves start talking about how bad the game is going to be.Yeah based off of 2 minutes.

How about skipping QTE's completely then? If they are useless then why have them at all.

Let the final smash be a result of the player's performance during the fight instead. Reward the player for doing well.

That sounds terrible. Should have just made Ryse into a movie or something.

i'm i wrong or isn't this the same thing i read being in the order: 1886?

QTE's that aren't reallly QTE's. dunno, maybe it's the new thing.

So it's a movie?
