Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo: If devs are worried about used game sales, they should make better games.

Nintendo games are for all ages.

Just because the game does not appeal to you doesn't mean it's made for kids.

Don't make up your mind before playing. "OMG. I can't be seen enjoying a kiddy game."

I went and looked into this a little bit before posting.
If you look at Nintendo games, they do not go down in price as quickly as MS or Sony games do.
Even though they don't drop in price they continue to sale
The Wii at 80 million achieved something the PS2 couldn't with double the install base. Have a 20million plus seller.

@CGI Quality, Its all opinion dude, just because they don't have the same obvious hate for Nintendo that you do, doesn't mean they are wrong. I love how you are trying to play down their opinion by pointing out its an opinion. You really think you did something there?

I've been here a few months and I have noticed that certain members act like if your opinion doesn't match theirs, then you have no right to share it. It's really childish and honestly I think people like you should honestly be banned.
Everyone has the right to their opinion not just you and your opinion isn't fact so stop acting like it.

Ouch! Hand it to them Reggie! Them greedy bastards just want to rape our wallets by any means necessary.

I love Nintendo games, I just don't think many of its games sales are associate with the type of gamer who is likely to buy second hand. Anything that is hugely success is probably appealing to casual gamers who buy 2-3 games per year... and yes that includes games like COD.

I think the difference in sales between Zelda Skyward Sword (3m) and New super mario bros (22m) is created by the hoard of kids/families who buy the latter.

are you seriously bringing pirated numbers into a discussion about used game sales?

"Ist der Ruf erst ruiniert, dann lebt es sich ganz ungeniert"

-> At some point you just stop giving a fuck, bringing unfitting arguments into a discussion just doesn't matter then

I agree with Reggie. The better the game the more likely you are to keep it in your collection.

But Nintendo now takes that stance because is not the market leader and has little 3rd party support. Back in the NES and SNES days Nintendo actually fought hard against the Game Rental Industry, they sued Blockbuster but lost at the end, although they did win the part about not being able to get the game booklet.

Uhm, Nintendo is leading both the 7th AND 8th gen.
