Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo Working on a Free-to-Play Game

According to David Gibson, an analyst, Nintendo announced at their behind the scenes meeting taking place at E3, that Nintendo plans to boost digital sales with New Super Luigi U and their first Free-to-Play game.

Megaton in my opinion. Never thought I would see the day where Nintendo would do a Free-to-Play game.

At Nintendo's Investors meeting in April, Iwata did announce that Nintendo was exploring free-to-play models or subsciption based models doing so however, with new IPS, not through their traditional packaged software such as Pokemon and Mario.

Around the Network

I totally imagine this to be NFC based Pokemon title.

Calling it right here.

Aside of Team Fortress 2 (and Dota 2 which I guess can be considered F2P), I haven't found a F2P game that doesn't bore me after a few weeks. I'll keep my eyes on this because it's Nintendo, but overall I have very little hopes for most F2P games.
