Forums - Gaming - Gamestop has some weird preorder listings for ps4.

Go into a Gamestop store. I had no issues yesterday preordering just a PS4 and Killzone.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Gamestop tends to do that as sort of an instore bundle. It's not really a bundle, they just make it one to help sell more preorders.

Was the deposit/preorder a $100?

$105 for the PS4 + Game. So yeah, $100 for a PS4 preorder.

Minimum down for console is $100

Minimum down per game is $5.

Hmm since you work at gs, do you know if there is any upcoming trade in deals for the ps4. Like trade in ps3 for ps4 and get more $.

I noticed that too, for both the Xone and the PS4. The e-mail talking about the price I got had the regular list price and no bundles, yet they aren't selling just the console itself online.

Granted, I don't know why anyone would just buy either system raw with no game when neither has BC. But still.

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

Ya it wasn't the whole console with a game thing, that was fine. Just online in order to buy killzone/driveclub with the console, the bundle includes an extra controller. Adding more money and I don't need an extra controller at launch. I rather have another game.

Did you guys see that Amazon has already moved to offering a "Launch Edition" and "Standard Edition" of the PS4?  Basically the "Standard" edition is the same as the launch edition, except they don't guarantee release day shipping due to the demand they're seeing.  See below:

Product Alert
The standard version of the PlayStation 4 is identical to the Launch Edition. Due to high demand, we cannot guarantee Release-Date Delivery on the standard version of the PlayStation 4. We will deliver the standard version of PlayStation 4 as close to its release date as possible.

As of this post, here is the top 100 in Video games:

  1. PlayStation 4 "Launch Edition" - SOLD OUT
  2. XBox One "Day One Edition" - $499.96
  3. PlayStation 4 "Standard Edition - $399.99
  4. The Last of Us (PS3) - $59.99
  5. XBox One "Standard Edition" - $499.96
  6. Dualshock 4 Controller - $59.99
  7. Watch_Dogs (PS4) - $59.99

Note the "Day One" XBox One is slightly different from standard, including a limited edition controller, decal, achievement, packaging, etc.

The interesting thing to note here is that PS4 is not only outselling the XBox One, but that Amazon's predicted launch quantity has sold out already.  Attachment for the controller and Watch_Dogs, a third party title, is also interesting.

Someone feel free to steal this as a new topic as I'm not yet up to 50 posts and can't create one yet--I've been creeping on here just reading for over 2 years and decided to finally start posting.

Why is there even a deposit. Doesn't cost them anything if you don't pick it up; costs you 6 months of interest on $100.
