Me too. I think metroid music helps you get into the setting of being alone. The sidescroller metroid games could get really scary just from the music. Does gba count as 8bit or 16bit if so metroid fusion. |
The GBA has a 32bit cpu and a 16 bit sound DSP.
Batman on the NES had the best music... I use to play it just to hear the opening!
Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.
@epsilon72
oh right..

Super Mario World is from the 16 bit era :P, the thread is about 8 bit music =D i forgot about castlevania, its music was great too and also Metroid's. |
Shit, that's right :S. Well it still had good music. ;)
Super Mario Bros
Legend of Zelda
Megaman 2
Tetris
TMNT had some good tunes too
My 8-bit days were spent playing my neighbor's C-64, so that's where my tastes lie. And two titles rise head and shouders above the rest:
International Karate
Bubble Bobble
All in all, Rob Hubbard wrote some really amazing tunes, though Bubble Bobble is not one of his. But in the all time top ten he would have like 8 songs :)
