no I enjoy this site more than anyother site I'm joined to... VGC and somewhat Neogaf are the only sites where you're not met with a F*ck you and other insults by just trying to get your point across

this idea that someone is instantly an "enemy" and deserves to be "called out" over his personal preference is frankly childish and is nothing more than an example of everything that's going wrong with the general gaming culture.

No one cares, really.

But jay acts like he doesn't prefer any console over the other. But his threads and posts tell a different story.

Some people hate people who has a fake persona. That's why he gets "called out" a lot. Not saying jay has a fake persona, though.

at the moment this site is literally 95% pro Sony and anyone who prefers anything else is instantly ganged up on.

Its not just sony fans, most of the members(yes that includes sony,micro,nin fans) on this site hate the new xbox and there is a reason why.

I never mentioned anything about loving / hating X1. It's a free market. Buy whatever you want. Enjoy whatever you want.

I'm addressing the overall horrendous state of current debate on the site. Don't like the X1? Perfectly understandable. In fact I'm buying a PS4 literally just to throw Sony support for their pro consumer actions.

I believe your missing the point.

i don't expect positive comments about anything. I could care less what console someone prefers.

i do however expect good quality discussion about topics and valid criticism and thought out debate. Well hope for would be a better term than expect.

Never really felt welcome here, even before the XBox One. It really sucks being a fan of Microsoft, even more so now.

I've tried to contribute with stuff before but it either gets A) Ignored or B) Bashed. I don't feel the mods are responsible though, they have been pretty tough though fair on a majority of people here. Some people just come back for more and do their best to agitate me. Last week was the first time I've actually resorted to reporting someone because I was close to replying to some bait.

The whole game data base issue (I use to keep track of all the games I owned via this website, and the database was no longer being worked on, I guess I was in the minority) was another blow for me.

The best thing about this site for me right now is the news/rumors. Stuff gets posted here pretty fast compared to Gamespot and IGN. I've learned of things hours (sometimes days) before stuff that I read on Gamespot.



It's just that simple.

Its also too bad fans of the Xbox brand are being made to feel unwelcome not just here and that really is something that needs to change in order for VGC to have a more healthy and productive community moving forward.

You should blame MS for that.  Their policies have driven gamers to Sony and, to a lesser extent, Nintendo.
