No.

They're keeping my preferred manufacturer in check.

Your second paragraph is evil by the way.

Guess :P

Hint: it's the only one bad for the industry :P

And... not really. While Microsoft is horrible with the X1 in many ways, it's still a platform for more games, sales, and competition.

The harm they cause offsets any good they might bring.

What if more companies start following them? I don't know what I would do then.

Buy a PS4/Wii U, buy many games for it, show Microsoft how wrong their stranglehold tactics are.

That's my plan. And in the light of the PS4 and various fuckups by MS itself, I wouldn't worry of companies following the X1 model.

If a company are willing to copy another company, then it's for a reason. The company must view those policies of the original company as beneficial. Therefore, the original company's departure would not stop the other companies from adopting those policies. In fact, companies may have more incentives to adopt these policies since the copying won't be as obvious.

No, competition is great for consumers. It means the companies will always be trying to out-do one another, which means quality games all around.

I would support Nintendo a lot if they were third party, but no I do not want their hardware. Plain and Simple.

Well competition is good and al- who am I kidding, I want Halo 5 on PC.

I wouldn't shed a tear over MS and the Xbox brand going away. But I'm not going to sit like a retarded fanboy with nothing better to do than hope they go under. So no. I could give a fuck about MS and the Xbone. I certainly don't wish it SUCCESS. But I'm not going to waste my time sitting and waiting for it to fail either. I'd much rather use my time and energy enjoying the awesome games coming my way in the coming months.

now i want microsoft out of the industry. there anti consumer policies are just bullshit. also, they dont seem interested in making talent, but buying it. buying timed exclusives all the time, as a gamer it isnt something that i want.

I noticed this as well. It has been like this since yesterday.

OT: I really don't care. If my least console manufacturer (MS) doesn't make games anymore, I won't miss their IPs. And if those games come to other consoles I probably not going to play them anyway.
